You Are Special

Hello everyone! Today I have another card that qualifies for my DTGD Challenge over at SCS. I'm using my a muse|studio goodies here. The images are from friend to friend, and the card stock is lime and orange. I've stamped the images with Tuxedo Black ink (stamping an extra flower), and extending the stems with my black marker. The blooms were stamped on orange, trimmed out, and sponged along the edges with my Riding Hood Red ink (SU). I glued them onto the base with Tombo Mono Multi Glue, and "chomped" the bottom corners with my Corner Chompers. The ribbon is 5/8" orange satin (AMS), and a gift from my sweet friend..Beth. Very CAS, but I like it. ☺

Beautiful Botanicals

I've pulled out my new a muse|studio Beautiful Botanicals to create this card (sentiment from Wild Rose). It's not secret that I love single-layer cards, and silhouettes are a favorite as well. I also love this papaya colored card stock (AMS). I've stamped the images with Onyx Black VersaFine, punched the corner with my Corner Chomper, added a strip of Onyx stitched ribbon (AMS), and finally... some tiny pearls (SU).

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're enjoying your long weekend! ☺

CAS Sympathy

Hello once again! I always find Sympathy cards difficult to make, and usually use the "less is more" approach. Here I have created a simple card using A Muse|Studio stamps, Note Cards, and flowers (thanks, Beth). The pearls are SU jewels, and the corners were rounded with my Corner Chomper.

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I will have some new LAD to show, so come back if you want to see what it is. *wink*

Getting "Dirty" on Tuesday

Hello on Tuesday!! It's another Dare to get Dirty challenge day, and these cards are for that. Here's the link to check out todays' challenges. Fun, fun stuff!!

I made this card for my nephew, and used my JustRite Stampers to personalize it. He is at that age between teen and adult, so I thought I would play it safe and choose some masculine colored papers with this simple design. Here's the front:

And here's the inside:

I used the smaller letters from the same kit to create "Happy Birthday". I hope Christian doesn't think it's too boring. ;)

Stamps: JustRite C-45 Monogram Stamp Box, Special Occasions Font
Card Stock: Night of Navy, Going Gray, GP White, Boxer (BasicGrey)
Ink: Black forn the C-45 kit, VersaFine Onyx Black
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Stampin' Dimensionals

This card is a simple, single layer card that is water-colored with my Aquapainter and re-inkers. My Aquapainter was releasing too much water, so the coloring isn't so nice. It's a sweet little birdie card anyhow, and who doesn't appreciate those?

Stamps: Nature Set (A Muse-clear)
Card Stock: Naturals White
Ink: Palette Noir, Berry Sorbet (PTI)--Reinkers: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Summer Sun
Accessories: blue sheer ribbon (A Muse), Rain Dot, Aqua Painter, ¾ inch Circle punch

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're having a nice week so far!!

Amuseapalooza & Some Updates

I've joined in on the A*MUSEA*PALOOZA fun, have you? Check it out by clicking the picture above, or at my sidebar.

Here's the card I made for the color challenge over there. My superhero is very brave to wear a purple cape and accessories, huh? I drew a second cape for the sentiment.

Stamps: Superhero, Super dad (A Muse Artstamps)
Card Stock: Georgia Pacific white, Close to Cocoa, Orchid Opulence, Blue (A Muse), Brown Kitchen 4-Bar notecard
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Copic Sketch markers, Gelly Roll Stardust pen, Spica gold glitter pen
Accessories: Rectangle Nestabilites, A Muse sheer ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Personal info:

You may....(or not) noticed that I have not been posting, or commenting as much as usual. I have some personal issues in the family, and it has been keeping me busier, and away from my computer more. Another issue is my DH will be changing shifts soon. My whole schedule will have to be adjusted, and I'm afraid I will not be able to continue being the night owl that I've grown accustomed to being.

After my current blog candy winner is announced, I will be turning my comments off. I will continue to post here, and blurf when possible (I can't stay away, 'cause you all are sooooo inspiring to me!!!) I have my contact button posted at my sidebar, and you are welcome to get a hold of me that way if you're interested.

Thanks so much for your awesome support and encouragement!! I am so very grateful!!

A Muse ATC's & a RAK

Today I have some artist trade cards for you to see (I still have a couple more to make). The images are from A Muse, and the papers are from Memory Box Beach (for the hammock card), and BasicGrey Infuse (for the tent card). I used watercolor crayons to color both. The "dream" sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink Text Boxed, and the "summertime fun" is from SU Everyday Flexible Phrases. All other products are from SU (both ribbons are retired).

Isn't that Swirls card so pretty? That is a RAK from Cindy Vernon. She won my latest blog candy for the Swirls, and made me this beautiful card. I love the colors, triangle with the sentiment and brad...and the ribbon gives the perfect touch. Thank you Cindy! I love it! If you would like to see more of Cindy's beautiful work, just click on her name above, and it will take you to Creating with the Heart.

Thank you for stopping in to see what I have for you. I hope you enjoy!

A Muse Retirement

I bought some cute A Muse stamps, and needed a retirement card for my brother-in-law, who just retired from teaching. I thought this would work. All stamps used are A Muse except the sun, which is from my PaperTrey Green Thumb set. The grass was stamped tone-on-tone Gable Green. I cut it out with my scissors, and hobby blade for the tiny spots, then mounted with 2-Way Glue. I used the retired SU Cloud, Moon & Stars stencil for the clouds.

Thanks for looking!

Stamps: Happy Retirement, Hammock, Grass, PaperTrey circle (from Green Thumb)
Card Stock: PaperTrey White, Gable Green
Ink: Palette Noir, Soft Sky, Creamy Caramel, Gable Green, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange
Accessories: Cloud, Moon & Stars Stencil, 2-Way Glue

Ice Cream Truck

I was sorting through my stamps, and came across this A Muse Ice Cream Truck that I purchased last year. I thought my new Rhonna Farrer swirl would look cute stamped behind the truck. At first I colored this with watercolor crayons, but it almost looked pink. That's when I decided to scribble a little of my Real Red Stampin' Write marker on a non-porous surface, and use my Aqua Painter to make it look red. I used a Going Gray watercolor crayon to "ground" the truck. This is simple design that my kids love, because we have an ice cream truck that visits our subdivision during the warmer months of the year.

Stamps: Ice Cream Truck, Swirls, Karen Foster Mini Casual Snap-Stamps
Card Stock: Fabriano Madioevalis Reply Cards from StarLitStudio
Ink: Palette Hybrid Charcoal, Noir, Gelly Roll Stardust Pen, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Marker, Uni-Ball White Signo Gel Pen,
Accessories: Red Gingham Ribbon from SU
