New Stamps

Hey...long time no post!  That's pretty much been the norm here, but I'll keep posting when I create new stuff.

I have new stamps in the house, and though I've had them for a while...I'm glad pulled them out to play for a bit.  These are new Lizzie Anne Designs sets that are available at Simon Says Stamp!  The stamps are all clear sets, which is new for Lizzie Anne Designs.  It was pretty cool not having to use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  ;)

Valentine's, My Friend

Back so soon, you ask?  (LOL)  I'm trying to get my groove back, and while I'm not super thrilled with my creations, at least I'm stamping.  ;)

I have a couple of cards using some of my SU stamps.  I've created my own template for the big hearts on my Valentine, as I didn't have a die or punch that worked with it.  The sentiment is framed with my Spellbinders Fancy Tags die.

My second card is very CAS, and uses the Grand Labels Twenty-Three dies for the shape.

Stamps:  You Are Loved (SU)
Card Stock:  Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, White
Ink:  Riding Hood Red
Accessories:  Love Language Cuttlebug Folder, Fancy Tags Die (Spellbinders), Natural Trim Ribbon, Foam Tape

Stamps:  Forever Young, My Friend (SU)
Card Stock:  Black, Night & Day (SU)
Ink:  Onyx Black VersaFine, Basic Black & Pool Party Markers (SU)
Accessories:  Grand Labels Twenty-Three (Spellbinders), Pool Party Seam Binding

Thanks for stopping by, and take care!

Cupid's Here

I hope you're enjoying your Valentine's Day with your loved one(s)! I have a Valentine using my Cupid from my Vintage Valentine set (Lizzie Anne Designs).

It looks a little bright in the photo, but I've used cream card stock, and Antique Linen ink...so it's more true to the vintage look in real life. My Strawberry Ultra Fine Flower Soft is used in the center of the heart, and the silk ribbon is from Sharon Johnson's online store.

Stamps: Vintage Valentine (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Real Red, Classic Cream, Little Girls (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Onyx Black VersaFine, Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger), Buttermilk Spica Glitter pen
Accessories: Strawberry Ultra Fine Flower Soft & PVA Glue, Oval & Scalloped Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Silk Ribbon, Scotch foam tape

Happy Valentine's Day, and thanks for stopping!

New Lizzie Anne Designs

It's been all about homework this week, so I was very happy to have a little crafting time of my own. I'm using some of my new Lizzie Anne Designs stamps today. I hope you enjoy them!

I love this little happy toast from In the Kitchen. I tried to give it a somewhat retro feel, and made a little "heat" with some piercing. My kids are arguing about who gets to keep this one. Lol!
Stamps: In the Kitchen (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Cool Caribbean, White, Swanky Stripes (digital papers/Lizzie Anne Designs)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Clear Spica Glitter pen
Accessories: Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), Paper piercer & mat, Scotch foam tape

Here's a Valentine for the upcoming holiday. I decided to enhance the loopy heart image from the January Monthly Mix, From the Heart. I used some Red Micro Beads, and it looks so pretty in real life. I used my Bow Easy to get my uniform bow as well.

Stamps: From the Heart-January 2010 Monthly Mix (LAD)
Card Stock: Real Red, White, A Little Love (digital papers/LAD)
Ink: Red Pigment (SU), Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Labels 8 & Labels 1 Nestabilities (Spellbinders), White sheer ribbon & Bow Easy, Red Micro Beads & Glossy Accents , Scotch Foam Tape

Hearts Galore & The Field Trip

Happy Friday! ** I've added a card to this post from earlier, as I was able to have a little creating time this morning.

I've made another Valentine, and the small sentiment is the only stamping on it. I have many heart-themed punches and dies, and I thought it would be pretty to put some of them to use on this card. Instead of the usual "Happy Valentine's Day", I decided to use this simple sentiment from my PTI Sweet Love set. Details are listed below the photo.

Stamps: Sweet Love (PaperTrey Ink)
Card Stock: Pink Pirouette, White, Real Red
Ink: Pure Poppy
Accessories: Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits (SU), Love Language embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Lace Heart border punch (Martha Stewart), Scalloped Hearts Nestabilities, White Taffeta Ribbon, Corner Chomper, Glue Dots, and Stampin' Dimensionals

Here's a photo to share from the field trip yesterday. This is the group in front of our state capital in Lansing. We also visited the museum close-by. It was a fun, but busy day.

Lizzie Anne Designs Sketch 108

I made this card for this weeks' Lizzie Anne Designs challenge by Joslyn. We were to use the sketch to make a Valentine... without using red in our design. There is some dark pink in the patterned paper, but I wouldn't call it red. This fun image is from the Gettin' Hitched set, and I sparklized the glasses with my Clear Spica pen, but you can't really see in the picture. The piercing was created using my Ric Rac Pierceabilities.

Stamps: Gettin' Hitched (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Sweet Blush (PTI), White, Honey Pie (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sweet Blush, Copic Markers, Spica Glitter Pens
Accessories: Circle & Petite Circle Nestabilities, Ric Rac Pierceabilities (Spellbinders), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), Tombo Multi Glue

Serenity & Love

Happy Friday, everyone!! I will have to keep this a bit short, as the kids are home from school early today, because the teachers are working on report cards.

Here are a couple of projects I've worked on recently. I haven't really had much time to blog lately, so I'm just posting these together.

I've loved this little Serenity Now set as soon as I saw it, and only now... have set it to ink (for shame). Anyhow...this is paper pieced, and the patterned paper is Urban Prairie from BasicGrey.

Stamps: Serenity Now (My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Blue Bayou, Aqua Mist (PTI), Neenah Solar White, Urban Prairie (BasicGrey)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Blue Bayou, Copic markers
Accessories: Corner Rounder punch, Rectangle & Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities, Dew Drops & Crystal Effects, Blue Bayou Double Stitched ribbon, Scotch Foam Tape

I've had these heart tins (from PTI) for a very long time
,
and I noticed that the largest heart image from So Much Love (Lizzie Anne Designs) fit almost perfectly to the size of the lid. I stamped with my Whisper White Craft ink, and added the little heart A Muse Twinkle stickers. The patterned paper around the edge is from the PTI Pink Patterns Collection, and I tied some 7/8 inch organdy ribbon for added elegance. I wish I had some premium chocolates to put inside, but kisses will have to do (all I have on hand).

Stamps: So Much Love (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Berry Sorbet, Pink Patterns Collection (both PTI)
Ink: Whisper White Craft
Accessories: heart tin (from PTI), Scor-Tape, Tombo Multi Glue, White grosgrain ribbon, 7/8 inch White Organdy ribbon (retired SU), A Muse Mini Heart Twinkle Stickers

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have fun all of you CHA bound girls. I can't wait to catch up with the latest!! Have a great weekend!!

My Valentine

Stamps: So Much Love (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Pretty In Pink, Bashful Blue, and Very Vanilla textured card stocks, Bashful Blue Prints (SU)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bashful Blue, Pretty In Pink, Black Gel pen, Basic Black Stampin' Write marker
Accessories: Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilites, Scalloped Edge punch (SU), Ellison Daisy Die, Heart Blocks Cuttlebug folder, Bashful Blue & Pretty In Pink Taffeta ribbon, Quickie Glue Pen & Dazzling Diamonds, Making Memories Brad, Scotch Foam tape, Glue Dots

It's time for another Dirty Dozen/Alumini challenge, and it's a fun one! We were to create a Valentine with some kind of texture, but not include the color red. I knew I wanted to use my new So Much Love set from Lizzie Anne Designs. Aren't these little birds the sweetest? I stamped them on the Bashful Blue, trimmed them, and adhered them to the stamped Very Vanilla circle. Quickie Glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds were used for the sparkly hearts. The embossed heart background was created using my Heart Blocks Cuttlebug folder, and the flower with my Daisy Die. I think everything is pretty straight-forward, but if you have questions...just let me know.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Day 3 LAD Peeks!

It's day three of the Lizzie Anne Designs peeks. I am using the Love Tattoo Simply Single stamp for my project!! I decided to take the tattoo literally, and made this card. It's supposed to be the back and shoulder of a woman, and I scored the shirt with my Scor-Pal for added dimension. The tattoo is colored in with my Copic markers (grays).

Stamps: Love Tattoo (Simply Single)
Card Stock: Blush Blossom, Old Olive
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Sketch markers
Accessories: Scor-Pal

I made this little Valentine using the So Much Love stamp set. The ribbon is A muse, and the black pearls are Kaiser

By now...I'm sure you know where to go for more peeks, but the links are here, and here, just in case.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope you're all having a fabulous Valentine's Day!!!

I have been busy, as I'm sure you all have been as well. The kids are on the mend, and I started to feel like I was coming down with something as well. Luckily, I used my Zicam® on time to help (I think).

Since I have lots to do...I will try to keep it short.

The first picture is of the 3x3 Valentines that we sent to the cousins. Most of my kids' cousins are much older, so they only exchange Valentine's with the youngest three. The SU cards were some that I had made last year for workshop samples, and the adorable birds card (from C.C. Designs) was made a couple of days ago.

The nuggets were done in a hurry...so nothing fancy here. They're for the boys to take to their teachers. The images and tins are from PaperTrey Ink.

My last card is a fantastic RAK from Libby.

I love Libby's cupcake card!! The colors and sparkle is so pretty, and I love the ribbon and pin too! Thank you for the wonderful card Libby!! If you would like to know the deets on this beauty, just click here for Libby's original post. Be sure to stop over to Libby's blog, and see photos of her brand new adorable baby girl as well. Congrats again, Libby!

I have lots more to do, so I had better go. Thanks for your visit, and I'm looking forward to catching up on my burfing real soon!!

Valentine Treats & How Sweet It Is! Card

Images © C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps ™

These are the Valentine treats I worked on with the boys! It was tough getting them done, with the kids not feeling good, but somehow we managed. I saw this cool design at Dawn's blog first...then to my surprise, ended up with the real thing. (Isn't she sweet? Thanks again, Dawn!)

We used C.C. Designs sets Love Ya Much, and Love Ya Lots for our treats. I stamped the images with StazOn Jet Black, and the boys colored them with my Watercolor Pencils. They used the Blender pen to get a watercolor look. (I had to help them quite a bit, because they didn't have a lot of patience).

Here's a picture of all of them all. If you'd like a closer look, just click on the image.

This baby card uses the images from "How Sweet It Is!" from Gina K. Designs, Stamps for a Cause (Diabetes research). See the complete set of images, and learn more by clicking here.

I'm Back!!

Online, that is. I didn't have internet for more than a day because the cable went out. You don't realize how much you depend on being connected...until you lose it.

Scor-Pal's February/March online magazine has been posted, and I have a few projects included. Here's one of them:

Grandma's Valentine

I saw this really cool Fancy Fold over at Dawn's blog, and wanted to try it. I still had my Berry Bliss handy from a few days ago, so I grabbed it. There also was a challenge at SCS a short while ago, using these cute heart pockets....so I combined the two.

I was trying to incorporate a photo into the Valentine's card for my Mom. I decided to print the photo, and use my Heart-shaped Nestabilities to cut the shape. I doesn't match perfectly with the heart pocket, but I'm thinking she'll probably keep the picture somewhere separate anyhow.
Thanks for stopping by today!!

Stamps: All Year Cheer III
Card Stock: Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate, Berry Bliss
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: Scor-Pal, Heart Nestabilites, D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder, Big Shot, Purely Pomegranate stitched ribbon, Prima Heart, Glue Dots, Photograph
