Stargazer Lily

Hi everyone! I have been busy with the family, so please forgive my absence.

Today I have another shaped card. The base is Pink Passion, and was cut out with My Coluzzle Cutting System and the Circle template. The next layer (Basic Black) was also cut with my Coluzzle. The final white and Black circular layers were cut with my Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities & Big Shot. The Stargazer Lily stamp is from Starving Artistamps, and was stamped with Adirondack Pitch Black ink. I colored it with my Copic Sketch markers, and trimmed it out. I added sparkle to the lily with my Spica Clear glitter pen, then mounted it to my card with Stampin' Dimensionals and Glue Dots. I decided to add a sentiment, and used my Sunspirit Studio Thank You sentiment with Whisper White Craft ink. The black dots were added along the perimeter of the base with my Micron Black pen and using my Paper Piercing template for spacing. The pretty sheer black ribbon is from A Muse.

Stamps: Stargazer (Starving Artistamps), Thanks (SunSpirit Studios)
Card Stock: Pink Passion, Basic Black, White
Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black, Whisper White Craft, Copic Sketch markers, Clear Spica Glitter pen, Micron Pen (Black)
Accessories: Coluzzle Cutting System with Circle template, Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities & Big Shot, A Muse Sheer Black ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals & Glue Dots, Paper Piercing Template

This next beautiful card is a RAK from Alex. It's so pretty, and check out all of that stitching!! Wow...major patience there, Alex!! I love the colors and pretty papers, as well as those brads she built. Alex has a lot of beautiful "eye candy" at her blog, California Stampin' so you'll probably want to stop by. Thanks for the gorgeous card, Alex!!!

I am going on a field trip with my son and his class, so I won't be around for part of the day. I'm planning to catch up on some blurfing upon my return, and I look forward to seeing what you all are up to. Take care, and have a fabulous day!!

Fish-n-Snails

Happy Saturday, everyone! Today I'm getting a bit fishy with my projects...lol. I decided to try another Cami Tri-fold that I haven't done in a long time. You may find Beate's tutorial for this type of fold here at Splitcoaststampers.

Stamps: Snail Set, 56.04 Seaweed (Starving Artistamps), Celebration and Birthday (SunSpirit Studio)
Card Stock: Taken with Teal, GP White, Basic Black
Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black, Taken with Teal, Aqua Mist (PaperTrey Ink), Copic Sketch markers, Stardust Gelly Roll pen
Accessories: Scor-Pal, Nestabilities Classic Squares, Slit & ½ " circle punches, Two Scoops Glazed Brads (BasicGrey), Stampin' Dimensionals

I decided to use a sheet of acetate to give my fish a more water-like scene, and used my ¼" Scor Tape to adhere it. The base is Aqua Mist from PaperTrey Ink. Both fish were stamped, colored with Copic markers, then trimmed out. The "sand" is Mustard and Rust embossing powder (mixed) that is adhered with Tombo Mono-Multi glue, but not heated. The small fish is under the acetate, while the large fish is adhered to the acetate. The seaweed is stamped with Forest Green StazOn. I used Rain Dots for the bubbles.

Stamps: Fish, Fish, Seaweed
Card Stock: Aqua Mist (PaperTrey Ink), Neenah Solar White
Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black, StazOn Forest Green, Copic Sketch markers
Accessories: Acetate, ¼ inch Scor-Tape, Mustard & Rust embossing power (unheated), Tombo mono-multi glue, Rain Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

My husbands' birthday is tomorrow, and it looks like we will be having a cook-out with his family. So much to do, so I must go.

Thanks for your visit, and enjoy your weekend!!

This is a gorgeous RAK from Lorien Clark! I love how she paired the SU Wanted images with my favorite Starving Artistamps background stamp, Ornate Tooled Leather. I met Lorien at the SCS Michigan Mingle event last month, and she is just as sweet as can be. She was one of the coordinators for this awesome gathering. Thanks Lorien for the beautiful card!! It was great meeting you at the event. If you would like to see more of Lorien's wonderful creations, click her name above....or here for her SCS gallery.

DoodleFactory

I really love the DoodleFactory stamps, as they are unique in style...and so cute! This little ladybug is Gus. I saw the Red and River Rock color combo at Tracy's blog, and thought it would look great with my ladybug. I stamped Gus with Adirondack Pitch Black, and colored him with my Copic Sketch markers. I highlighted his antennae with my Clear Spica pen, and used my Crystal Effects on his spots and eyes. (I should add that his head was stamped again, colored, and mounted with dimensionals). My corner rounder punch was used for the red scalloping at the edge, and the dotted sheer ribbon is May Arts, purchased at Jacksonbelle's Ebay store. I love the Fern Leaf Tooled Leather background, and thought it would be a great background for Gus! The sentiment is from the SunSpirit Studio Celebrations set.

Thanks for visiting today!

Stamps: Gus (DoodleFactory), Fern Leaf Tooled Leather background (Starving Artistamps), Celebrations (SunSpirit Studio)
Card Stock: River Rock, Real Red, Basic Black, Georgia Pacific White

Catching Up!

It's been one of those weekends where you just can't seem to catch up. I was busy with the kids' Valentines "stuff", then they didn't have school on Friday (Winter Break). I was also finishing uploading my Fan Club cards into the gallery at Splitcoaststampers. (The gallery is totally rockin' this month, so be sure to check it out!!) We were away from home for much of the day on Saturday, and now I am trying to get caught up on e-mail, commenting...and of course, making cards. ;)

Today I have a card using Big Iris, a gorgeous new image from Starving Artistamps. It can be purchased separately, or on a full sheet of lovely new floral images.

Tracey also has a special going on right now, and you can still use my discount code rosedis for your 10% off:
For the next week, buy one 8½ x 11 inch sheet of rubber images, get one sheet of original cling for FREE!! Offer is good on all FULL SHEETS by Red Castle, Doodle Factory, and Starving Artistamps.

Okay...so enough chit-chat. Here's my card:

The Iris was stamped with Arirondack Pitch Black, and colored with my Copic Sketch markers. Sparkle was added with my clear Spica glitter pen. The base is Perfect Plum with a layer of Whisper White and Vellum Card Stock. The Vellum layer was embossed with my new Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder & Big Shot. The ribbon is May Arts. I think everything looks pretty straight-forward on this, but you can let me know if you have any questions.
