Halloween Feline

Today I'm back with a Halloween card that I've created using the Frightening Feline SU stamp.  I decided to add some Googlies, and a bead for a nose.  The embossing was done using the Spiderweb Cuddlebug embossing folder.  I can hardly believe Halloween is almost here...can you?  We've been so busy with karate and cross country, and the season is flying by!

Stamps:  Frightening Feline (SU)
Card Stock:  Concord Grape, Peach Parfait
Ink:  Concord Crush
Accessories:  Xyron Glue Stick, Xyron Mini, Angle Corner Chomper, Spiderweb Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (SU), Googlies (SU), Earths Bead (SU)

Ghoulish Treats

I'm back (finally) with a cute project using the new Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kits from SU.  I wanted to make these for my daughter's Halloween party at school, and I'll probably put something different inside them.  (I don't believe kids like candy corn all that well, but it photographs nicely ☺).  I was thinking of dressing them up a little more to make them 'my own', but in the end...kept them basic.  I've stamped the images from my Googly Ghouls stamp set onto the kit tags with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers from Crafter's Companion.  Speaking of Spectrum Noir...have you seen the new Product Review at Splitcoaststampers?  Check it out!

Stamps: Googly Ghouls
Paper: Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit (SU)
Ink: Mento Tuxedo Black, VersaFine Onyx Black; Coloring Medium: Spectrum Noir Markers (Crafter's Companion)
Accessories: Baker's Twine, Googlies, Glassine Bags (from the kit), Glue Dots

A Little Witchy

Don't you think this little witch is too cute?  She is from an SU set called Out on a Limb.  I never got around to using this set last year when I bought it, and I'm hoping to use it a little more.  I've used the Card Creator dies from Spellbinders, and some patterned papers from last years' SU collection for this card.   Halloween will be here soon enough, and I always have such a fun time creating cards with all of the fun images.  I'm sure I'll be making more.

Stamps:  Out on a Limb (SU)
Card Stock:  Daffodil Delight, Black, Frightful Sight (SU)

Leaves of a Tree

Hello everyone! Today I have a card that I made a little while back, and haven't posted yet. I thought I'd better get it up here, before the season has passed us by. (Many of our tress are bare, and it's getting quite chilly here these days).

This is a single stamp from SU called Leaves of a Tree. I've colored the leaves with various SU markers before huffing and stamping the image onto my white card stock. The main image was cut with Spellbinders dies, and the pretty eyelet edging was punched with my SU border punch. I've also embossed the Summer Sun with my Stripes embossing folder (SU).

Stamps: Leaves of a Tree (SU)
Card Stock: Cherry Cobbler, Summer Sun, White
Ink: Rich Cocoa, SU Markers
Accessories: Spellbinders Dies, Stripes Embossing Folder (SU), Eyelet Border Punch (SU), Foam Tape

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're enjoying the last of the fall weather before the colder days are here!

The Big Decision

Hello everyone! Today I'm featuring an image from another stamp line available at Gourmet Rubber Stamps. This image is called Halloween Witches, and they are from the Murray's Law line. There is quite a variety of images that will probably give you a chuckle or two...so check them out when you get a chance.

For this card I used my black detail embossing power to emboss the image. Next, I colored it in with my Copic markers. The background looked a little too bright, so I spritzed some black with my Color Spritzer. The dies used are #15 Label Nestabilities. The patterned paper and ribbon is from SU, and the Vibrant Violet card stock is from Gina K. Designs.

Stamps: Halloween Witches (Murray's Law)
Card Stock: Black, White, Vibrant Violet (GKD), Frightful Sight (SU)
Ink: VersaMark, Black, Copic Markers
Accesories: Black Detail embossing powder, #15 Label Nestabilities (Spellbin
ders), Color Spritzer Tool (SU), Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon

Spidery Fright Night

I'm thinking spooky once again...but this time it's all about spiders. Eek!! I bought this cool blingy web last year, and I'm glad I was finally able to use it. I thought I would pair the bling up with my Frightful Sight DP (SU), and the Fright Night Single (LAD). I added the little spider brads (one to the bling web, and one down below with an added row of extra bling). The Sentiment was stamped on a strip of Pumpkin Pie paper, distressed, and adhered to the base. The stamped webby border was created by my Martha Stewart punch.

Stamps: Fright Night Single (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Black, Pumpkin Pie, Frightful Sight (SU)
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Web Bling It (BasicGrey), Rhinestones, Spider Brads (Recollections), Paper Crimper, Cutter Kit Distressing Tool (SU), Color Spritzer Tool (SU), Web Border Punch (Martha Stewart)

Spooktacular

Hi everyone! My kids have already been talking about Halloween, and what they would like to dress up as for Trick-or Treating. Of course, the catalogs that have been arriving in the mail doesn't have anything to do with it either. ;) Anyhow, I was in the mood to create a Halloween card with my Hallow's Eve set (Lizzie Anne Designs). The patterned paper is Frightful Sight (SU) and is adhered to the chipboard piece (Want 2 Scrap) with some Tombo glue. I've used my Ribbon Tags Trio (Spellbinders) for the sentiment tag, and the ribbon is from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store (I've colored the ribbon with my Copic markers to match the Olive card stock). I've added a little bling (Want 2 Scrap), and adhered to my Cajun Craze card base with Scor-Tape (Scor-Pal). The moon and bat were stamped on the Cajun Craze as well, trimmed out, and adhered to my image panel.

Stamps: Hallow's Eve (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Frightful Sight (SU)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Copic markers (to color ribbon)
Accessories: Rectangles & Fleur de Lis Rectangles Dies (Spellbinders), Fleur de Lis Rectangle Nestaboards (Want 2 Scrap), Ribbon Tags Trio Dies (Spellbinders), Silver Bling (Want 2 Scrap), Striped Ribbon (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), Tombo Mono Multi Glue, Foam Tape, Scor-Tape

Boo!

Hello everyone! Today I have another CAS Halloween card to show. I'm trying to use some of my Halloween papers and images before I begin concentrating on Christmas designs (which I surely need to get started on soon). I'm using Spooky Stuff stamps by Stampers Anonymous, and some more Going Batty papers. The sentiment is a rub-on, and the orange and black gingham ribbon was purchased from Jacksonbelle a very long time ago. This designer paper is textured and shimmery, so it looks much lighter in the photo. Almost like it doesn't match at all. But IRL it does, so I guess you'll just have to go with me on that one. *wink*

Stamps: Spooky Stuff (Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection)
Card Stock: Black, Going Batty/Spooked Collection (g.c.d. Studios)
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black
Accessories: Chills & Thrills Rub-Ons (SU), Orange & Black Gingham Ribbon

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a happy 'hump day'!

Pumpkin Pickin'

We had a wonderful weekend which included a trip to the pumpkin patch. First, I'll show you the card I made with the Li'l Pumpkin Pure Innocence set from My Favorite Things. I'm using lots of patterned papers once again.

Stamps: Li'l Pumpkin (My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Black, Cream, Superstition (Dream Street Papers LLC)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, Spica Glitter Pen
Accessories: Labels 17 Nestabilites (Spellbinders), Cloud Corner Chomper, Martha Stewart Punch, Open Scallop Border Dienamics (My Favorite Things), Felt (MFT), Bling (Recollections), Scotch Foam Tape, Tombo Multi Glue

It was a beautiful day for a trip to the pumpkin patch! The kids enjoyed picking their perfect pumpkins right off the vines, as there were still lots to choose from. We also enjoyed all of the animals on the farm. There were cows, horses, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, turkeys, peacocks, and various other birds. A fun day for sure!!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're enjoying the season as well!

Patterns or Plain?

Hi everyone! Today I have two very different Halloween cards to show you. Do you prefer the card with a lot of patterns going on, or the clean and simple design?

The first card was created using Blackbird from My Mind's Eye. I have to say that although the images are cute, they were not the easiest to work with. I ended up using VersaFine to get the best stamped image. Not my favorite clear stamps to work with, for sure. I loved the papers in the pack, though...and went a little bit crazy with the patterns. The frame was a die-cut in the pack, and I used lots of foam tape to add some nice dimension.

Stamps: Blackbird (My Mind's Eye)
Card Stock: Early Espresso, Cream, Blackbird Paper Pack (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Copic Markers
Accessories: Martha Stewart Web Corner Punch, Scotch Foam Tape

I made the second card a long time ago, and it sat on my desk unfinished. The image was stamped and the edges were sponged...but I could never decide where to go from there. I finally decided to keep it simple and added a rub-on sentiment, and a simple ribbon. The owl's eye are colored yellow, and sparkled with a Spica Glitter pen.
Stamps: House of Haunts (SU)
Card Stock: Amuse notecard
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Orange
Accessories: Amuse Ribbon, Chills & Thrills Rub-Ons

I'm off to my son's field trip, then later a karate belt ceremony. Busy day!

Congratulations!

I love all of the pretty colors in the fall, and my favorite is when a tree has multiple colors. This is what I tried to re-create here for this anniversary card. Clean and simple with a Fabriano notecard and minimal accessories. The images are from Gina K. Designs.

Stamps: Fanciful Fall (Gina K. Designs), Lovely Labels 2 (Gina K. Designs)
Card Stock: Fabriano Square Notecards
Ink: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight (SU)

Owl Toys & Free Broom Rides

I watched the first and second clutches of Molly & McGee, and this was one of the free downloads available at the Cafe Press site. Rocketman Creative (Christopher Adams) designed and made these available, so of course I had to make a some. I just love these cute little owls! They take a little while to cut out and assemble, but they're totally worth it!

One for each of the the kids, and one for myself. ;)

Here's a Halloween card I've made with some more goodies I picked up from the new paper store I told you about in my previous post. Funny and cute image, with some shimmery batty paper. I love the cute little blingy Recollections bat brad as well!
Stamps: Broom Rides (Daisy Bucket Designs)
Card Stock: Black, White, Garden Green, Going Batty/Spooked Collection (g.c.d. studios)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers

CAS Monday

I have a short post for today, and it's another super simple CAS card. The images are from A Harvest of Memories (LAD October Monthly Mix). It doesn't look much like an anniversary card for my DH...but it is (18 years today!). He likes "no frills", and I thought the images were beautiful. I used my yummy Fabriano cards from Starlit Studio, and my Ranger Distress inks.

Stamps: A Harvest of Memories (Lizzie Anne Designs/Oct 09 Monthly Mix)
Card Stock: Fabriano Reply Notecards
Ink: Ranger Distress Inks-Antique Linen, Scattered Straw, and Vintage Photo

My oldest has pink eye...so I'm off to pick up his Rx. Thanks for dropping by!!

I will very soon, though...I'm sure.
