Carte-licious 3

Stamps: Veggiebella, "ha-pea birthday", Borders & Corners Square (PaperTrey Ink) Card Stock: Bashful Blue, Homespun Collection (Memory Box), Very Vanilla Ink: Black, Stampin' Write Markers, Certainly Celery Accessories: Punches--Large Oval, Ticket Corner, Fiskars Mini Scallop Paper Edgers, 5/8 inch Real Red grosgrain ribbon,

It's time for Carte-licious take 3! This time Melissa sent the adorable Veggiebella image and sentiment. She even sent extras, and some cute Fluffles images. Thanks so much Melissa! Be sure to check out Melissa's take on the challenge, as well as Joan's and Sue's. I can hardly wait to see them all myself! My card uses a Bashful Blue base, and Homespun Collection designer paper by Memory Box. The image is stamped with Black on Very Vanilla, and colored with my Stampin' Write markers. I gave the larger areas a light wash with my Aqua Painter. The sentiment was punched out with my Large Oval punch, and matted with Bashful Blue (trimmed with my Fiskars mini scallop paper edgers). The corners of the image piece are stamped with an image from Borders & Corners Square PaperTrey Ink set. I used the Ticket Corner punch for the Homespun layer, and decorated with Adornit Gems (found at Eclectic Paperie). The ribbon is 5/8 inch Real Red from SU. Thank you for visiting today, and don't forget to check out the other Carte-licious challenge cards.

Happy Monday!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I was so busy, I didn't have much of a chance to create or blurf at all (I'm hoping to catch up real soon).

Do you like these snowmen? I know...I made another card with them a little while back, but they were overdue to come out and play again. These cuties (Group Hug) are from Stamping Bella, and designed by Julia Stainton. I stamped them in Palette Noir and colored them with my Copic Sketch markers. I sparklized them with my Quickie Glue pen, and Dazzling Diamonds, then used my Nestabilities and Big Shot for the circle and scalloped circle. The gems are clear Adornit Gems from Eclectic Paperie. The patterned paper is BasicGrey Figgy.

I had such an exciting day yesterday. I was the Featured Stamper yesterday at Splitcoaststampers!! I'm so honored and excited....and I had such fun checking out all of the wonderful creations! If you would like to see the gallery, click here.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

Sprinkle Snowflakes

I finally used one of my new Elzybells, and isn't she so cute? This particular E-bell is called Sprinkle Snowflakes. The Bashful Blue base is stamped with Whisper White Craft ink using The Snowflake Spot (SU). The sentiment is from Stamping Bella, and punched with my Word Window punch. I used pink Adornit Jewels to accent it. I stamped the image with Palette Noir onto Whisper White card stock, colored with my Copic Sketch markers, then matted with Pretty In Pink. I highlighted certain areas with my Spica Glitter pens. The ribbon is May Arts, and Rain Dots are used to add a little texture and interest to the snowflake base.

How are you all coming on your Christmas cards? I'm bummed to say that I am waaaay behind. Because of this, I don't know if I will be posting quite as often as I usually do (or blurfing). I will do my best, though...'cause I really love this blogging thing. ;)

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!

Do You Like Snowmen?

We have a two-way fireplace in our home, and during the Christmas season I devote my whole mantle on one side to my snowman collection. As you can see from the following two cards, I love snowman stamps as well. I kept the same color combination for both cards today!

My first snowman card uses the cute little Lizzie Anne Simply Singles Snowmen stamp. I don't know about you, but these little cuties do 'melt my heart'!I wanted to make another card using Beate's sketch challenge layout, so that's what I did here. I scored the half circle with my Coluzzle, then tore by hand and ran it through my Big Shot with my Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug folder. The image is stamped with Palette Noir, and colored with my Copic sketch markers. I also added some sparkle with the Clear Spica pen (hard to see in the photo).

My second card is called Group Hug, an adorable image that Julia Stainton designed for Stamping Bella. Isn't it so cute? I love that there are five snowmen, and we have five in our family. I used my Nestabilities for the image and "frame". The image is stamped with Palette Noir and colored with the Copic markers once again. The base was embossed using my D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. The bling is Hero Arts Gemstones.

I hope you enjoyed my snowmen today. Thanks for visiting!!

Witchybella Pop Up

Happy Halloween from Witchybella!! It's she cute? Yes...I know we still have a little while before Halloween, but I didn't want to wait till the last minute to come up with ideas. I found the awesome tutorial for this pop-up card at Dawn's blog (thanks, Dawn) . I wanted to use my new Bella, so I stamped her with Palette Noir, and colored her with my new Copic markers (the rest of them have arrived...thanks Ellen!!). The designer paper is the retired SU Halloween Night. My base and ribbon are Vintage Violet, also retired from SU. The sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Spooked set.

If you would like to see another cute pop-up card...check out Fran's adorable pumpkin one, and of course Dawn's Merry Christmas tree one she did for the tutorial. If you have a pop up card that you'd like to link here...feel free to do so. I'd love to see it!

Thanks for looking!

Beate's Challenge #8

This card is really a triple challenge to me, but it all started with Beate's weekend challenge #8. I haven't participated in one of Beate's fun challenges for a few weeks, so I wanted to be sure to do this one. I found it to be quite challenging indeed! So...how is this a triple challenge? Well, of course the layout is Beate's, but I also decided to use an image from a personal Bella image swap I did with Carrie (thanks Carrie!!). Then I decided to do last week's color challenge from SCS because I thought the colors were pretty together. (Please excuse my 2:00 AM coloring job). The sentiment is from PaperTrey Green Thumb, but I didn't ink the word shoes. I used my Karen Foster Mini Formal snap stamps to replace it with "STAMPS". The cute little charm is from CTMH, and is attached with a small piece of Karen Foster's Scrappers Floss.

Thanks for visiting, and have a wonderful weekend!!

Stamps: Sistahoodabella, Green Thumb, Karen Foster Mini Formal
Card Stock: Barely Banana, Whisper White, Creamy Caramel, Real Red
Ink: Palette Noir, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, Signo White Gel Pen
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol, Marvy Uchida Scalloped Circle Super (from PaperTrey), Fiskars Mini-Scallop Paper Edgers, Paper Piercing Tool & Pad, Clear Inspirations Friendship Dangles (CTMH), Karen Foster White Scrapper's Floss.

Bella Swap #5

This adorable Mamabella was created by Joycelyn aka Stamps'nCoffee at SCS. I love that big layered flower and these colors!! That designer paper is so pretty, and I love the crystal brad! This card is so very pretty! Thank you Joycelyn!!

Bella Swap #4

This Flowabella is made by Jenny Kronberg aka PenelopePitstop at SCS. I LOVE this pretty paper, and how Jenny paper-pieced the dress!! These tent topper cards are one of my favorites (if you visit or browse my blog regularly...you already knew that, right?) I love these colors together, and I love this card! Thanks so much Jenny!

Bella Swap #3

When I first saw this Rockabella card made by Candice (aka Candice L at SCS), all I could say was WOW! Not only is the paper beautiful, but I love the zig-zag stitching Candice did! The Scalloped border with the May Arts (?) ribbon, really adds a nice touch! The guitar looks like it may have Pearl Ex on it, because it really shimmers. Thanks for the awesome card, Candice!

Bella Swap #2

This Bella card uses Cakabella, and was made by Denise Young, aka papercuties at SCS. I LOVE this pocket fold, and never tried it myself. I will have to now. ;) The pink colors are so pretty, and I love the Primas, and ribbon slide sentiment! So cute! Thanks Denise!

Bella Swap #1

Here is my first card from the Bella swap that I participated in. It comes from Lynn Mercurio, aka Lynn in St. Louis at SCS. Lynn used Emmybella for this card, and I love the colors she chose. I was really amazed at the way the card folds. As you can see, it ties at the bottom, and when you untie it, the bottom flap fold down, and the Bella flips up. Inside there are pretty die cut flowers and edging, and I love the paper. The sentiment made me chuckle, as it states..."Well behaved women seldom make history." Too cute! I love it Lynn! Thanks so much!

Beate's Weekend Challenge #5 & Grad Card

I have a couple projects for you today. The first is for Beate's weekend challenge #5. My card is a little 4 x 4 gate-fold, using the SU Spring mini set Bundle of Joy. My second card is a graduation card for my 2nd cousin. The inspiration for this comes from Yvette's card. The image is from Stamping Bella, and it is called Dimplomabella. The designer paper is Au Chocolate from the Spring Mini as well. I colored the dots as Yvette did with markers. I used the Round Tab Punch and Karen Foster Snap stamps for the sentiment. The ribbon is May Arts from Jacksonbelle-Embellishments.

SCS Featured Stamper Challenge: Kirsten DuBosque

This is my first time doing a SCS Featured Stamper Challenge, and the focus is on a terrific stamper...Kirsten DuBosque. She has some really awesome cards to choose from, and I chose this one, to case. I didn't have the Flowabella, so I used my closest match Gardenbella. I also used different designer paper, flowers and ribbon...but most is the same. The Tent Topper design is Michelle Wooderson's.

Bella Swaps

My swaps are finished....yay! Though I only had six, they took me a while to complete. For that reason, I didn't have time to work on a new project. :( If I can squeeze some stamping time in today...I'll try to make something new to post.

Thanks for checking in, and have a nice day!!

Bella Tag Card

I'm in a small Bella swap, and this is what I was thinking of making to share. I will need to extend the size to meet the standard, as this is just 4 ¼ x 5 inches. The Bella image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils, and enclosed in a 3M Bag Tag (purchased at WalMart). Because of the reflection of the tag, this was difficult to photograph. Therefore, the sentiment is quite washed out. It is from the SU Circle of Friendship set. I stamped it on Whisper White, and punched it out with my 1" circle punch & mounted on a Lavender Lace scalloped circle (Marth's new line of punches found at Michaels). This is called a Tent Topper Card invented by Michelle Wooderson. The Prima Flowers are from Jacksonbelle's Store, and the Amuse Twinkle Stickers are from Ellen's Store.

Thanks for visiting today, and have a nice weekend!

For My Sister

My sister is expecting her third child! :D This stylin' chick is definitely her!

The main image is the popular Michaels stamp that Kelly sent me (thanks Kelly), and the sentiment is by Stamping Bella. I used the Big Shots Big Impressions Daisies Texture plate for the gable green background, and realized afterwards...that I should have spritzed the card-stock with water to get a deeper impression. I kind of wanted a more subtle background anyhow (you can hardly see it in the piture... but IRL you can), so I left it as is. The designer paper is from BasicGrey's Gypsy collection (I have the 6 x 6 pad). I used Prima flowers with white brads from Bazzill. The ribbon is from SU's (winter mini 06/07) Flirty collection. I also used the word window punch from SU. Other card stock is pretty in pink, pixie pink, and shimmery white (all SU).

Dentabella

My sister and I are going to a dental seminar in Frankenmuth on Saturday, so I wanted to give her a cute card for the occasion. Both of us are RDA's, and rarely get to take our CE's together...so this should be fun. :)

I used my brand new Dentabella from Emily's Stamping Bella collection. These Bellas are so adorable, and I love 'em! I also used the skinny oval from A Muse to 'ground' her. The background is stamped with the Dotted background from SU, and the sentiment is from Small Sayings (winter mini 06/07). I used all SU card-stock for this card. The base and mat are pretty in pink, and the main image is stamped with Jet Black StazOn on shimmery white. I used my aqua painter and re-inkers (pretty in pink, so saffron, blush blossom, gable green, and bordering blue) to color the image. The the 'rug' is stamped in gable green, and the sentiment is stamped in basic black. I used the spring bouquet flower punch for the punched out flower, and a pretty in pink brad from the soft subtles brad collection for the center of the flower (mounted with a mini glue dot). Cindy ribbon from StarLitStudio is tied around the card.
