For the Birds Team Challenge

It's that time of the month where the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Team is up for a challenge once again. "For The Birds" is the theme, and I grabbed my Birdcages Coveralls stamp. I've embossed the image with black detail powder, and created the glow in the background with my Gelatos. I've used mulberry paper as an accent, because I thought it resembled feathers. (How many of you still have that stuff hanging around?) The sentiment is from Vintage Verses.

Stamps: Birdcages Coveralls, Vintage Verses
Card Stock: Black, White, Daffodil Delight, White Mulberry Paper
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Peach Parfait, Only Orange
Accessories: Grand Labels Twenty-Three, Fancy Tags 2, Long Rectangles, Black Detail Embossing Powder, Gelatos, Foam Tape

Summertime Vacation Challenge

Today the Design Team has been challenged to make a card or project that reflects something we'll be doing this summer. Well, right now we are visiting Mickey and friends, but we are hoping to hit one of the beaches on our way out. We have a specific one in mind, but I'll have to wait and see if that's the one we end up visiting or not. Anyhow, we may see some sea creatures, so I thought I would use this sea turtle for my first card. The turtle is from the new Summer Mix that will begin to ship on July 1st.

Stamps: Summertime Celebration Mix Set, Treasured Trinkets Mix Set
Card Stock: Creme De Menthe (GKD), Ocean Tides (PTI), Salt Air (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Onyx Black VersaFine, Ocean Tide
Accessories: Label #9 Nestabilites (Spellbinders), Tiny Bubble Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Word Window Punch (SU), Rhinestone Jewels (SU), Ocean Tides Twill Ribbon, Foam Tape

At the same beach, we are hoping to do some snorkeling and shelling. The kids will have so much fun finding their own shells, so I am hoping we have some success with this. Here's my card using the pretty shells from Summertime Celebration Mix set as well.

Stamps: Summertime Celebration Mix Set, Turn Towards the Sun Mix Set
Card Stock: White
Ink: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Copic Markers, Clear Spica Glitter Pen
Accessories: Square & #15 Label Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Glue Dots, Tombo Multi Glue

The others' will be sharing their designs as well, so you may find the links to their blogs on my sidebar, and/or hop over to the LAD Blog and jump around from there.

It's a Baby Challenge

The Lizzie Anne Designs girls have been busy again. This month our Team Challenge is all about babies, and for inspiration...we've checked out Pottery Barn Kids. I love how sweet and gender neutral this decor is, so I've used Sweet Lambie Nursery for my inspiration.

My card uses In the Nursery Little Bits set, and if you were thinking of picking this set up, you'd better do it soon. It is on the retired list, which also means it's on sale for 50% off!!

February LAD DT Challenge

Hello everyone! I'm crawling out from my cave to participate in the February Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge. (I wish I could have come out of "hiding" earlier, but things have been really hectic here lately!)

This month we were challenged to choose a card from The Sketchbook designed by another DT member other than ourselves, and design a new card based on their design.

For my first card, I chose this lovely card designed by Tricia. I veered off quite a bit from her design, but it was definitely the inspiration I used to create this. The stamps I've used come from the new Wonderful World Sixlets set. The flower and leaf are paper-pieced, and the grass was created with my Martha Stewart scissors. (Other details are listed below the photo.)

Stamps: Wonderful World Sixlets Set
Card Stock: White, Hopscotch Mat Pad (K & Company)
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Martha Stewart Scissors, Cloud Di-namics dies (MFT), Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Next up is a card I've created using this pretty card created by Anya for inspiration. I've used my Dare to Be Fabulous Sixlets set, and some embossing powders (gold for the highlighted shoes, and black for the sentiment).

Stamps: Dare to Be Fabulous Sixlets Set
Card Stock: Gold, White, Rockabilly Specialty Paper (SU)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, VersaMark
Accessories: 1¼" Circle Punch, Gold & Black Embossing Powders, Scotch Foam Tape

[A different view to see the embossing and pretty papers better.

Thanks for stopping by! Please check out the other DT girls to see their challenge cards as well! I'm sure they'll be as fabulous as ever!

LAD January DT Challenge

It's time for the monthly Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge. Today the team was challenged to design a project based on a New Years resolution. Well...I have to admit that I don't make them. Rather, my card is based on the goal I've had (since starting our family) that I would like to get my over abundance of "stuff" organized, recycled, sold, donated, or just plain pitched. So...the 'sweet home' concept is my theme. ☺

My card uses two Simply Singles stamps, and they are House and Home Sweet Home.

Stamps: House & Home Sweet Home Simply Singles (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Textured Soft Sky (SU), White, Kraft
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Accessories: Piercing Tool & Template (SU), Cloud Die (PTI), Bakers Twine (Taylored Expressions), Foam Tape, Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you'll join me in checking out all of the other Team Members' creations! I'm sure they'll be fabulous!!

A Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge

As you see by the title, I've rejoined the Lizzie Anne Designs Team!! Yay!! I've really missed everyone, and I'm excited to be creating with this talented team once again!

So...onto the challenge. Each of the team members have created a tag/gift-tag using holiday stamps. I'm using the Tall Snowman Simply Single stamp, and some images from the Love & Joy set for the reverse side. The snowman was colored with Copic Markers, trimmed out, and mounted onto my little snowy scene with foam tape. The snow hill was cut using my Creative Memories Decorative Trimmer, then sparkled with Dazzling Diamonds. The base is die cut with my Beaded Oval Nestabilities, and the snowflakes were cut with MFT Dia-namics.

Please be sure to stop over to the Lizzie Anne Designs Blog for peeks of everyone's designs, and links to their websites. It's sure to be inspiring!!

In my sample, I've used Flower Soft Toppers, and added texture to the greens and flowers with Flower Soft. Ultra Fine Sage was used for the greens, and Sunshine YellowBaby Pink was used for the flowers. I used the Labels Ten Spellbinders to create the unique shape.

Lizzie Anne Designs Sketch 108

I made this card for this weeks' Lizzie Anne Designs challenge by Joslyn. We were to use the sketch to make a Valentine... without using red in our design. There is some dark pink in the patterned paper, but I wouldn't call it red. This fun image is from the Gettin' Hitched set, and I sparklized the glasses with my Clear Spica pen, but you can't really see in the picture. The piercing was created using my Ric Rac Pierceabilities.

Stamps: Gettin' Hitched (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Sweet Blush (PTI), White, Honey Pie (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sweet Blush, Copic Markers, Spica Glitter Pens

Hello?

No...I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Busy times...but I'm sure many of you can relate. I haven't had much stamping time (makes me so cranky) because of the chaos, but I did manage to make this card with Boho Blossoms from My Favorite Things. I have loved this set since I purchased it so long ago, and was happy to use it today! I am still on somewhat of a black & white kick, due to my recent purchase of the gorgeous La Crème stack I found on my first visit to Hobby Lobby. I am using the Monday Mojo Sketch (107) from a couple of weeks ago. The bolder flowers on my new paper are flocked, and the pink color is actually Raspberry Fizz (PTI).

Stamps: Boho Blossoms (My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Classic Cream (Neenah), Black, La Crème (DCWV)
Ink: Raspberry Fizz, Antique Linen Distress
Accessories: Rectangle & Circle/Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Antique Copper Brad (Making Memories), Kaiser Pearls, Raspberry Fizz Satin Ribbon (PTI), Scotch Foam Tape

I have been checking out all of your "lovlies" in Reader, and hope to be around to leave ya'll some blog "love" soon. I am going to be spending some time with my sisters and mother tonight, so it probably won't happen until sometime this weekend or so. Until then...thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
