MIA

Hi everyone! I may be away from here for a few days or so. I am up to the hospital with my son, as we just found out he has Type 1 Diabetes. He is doing well, and they are getting his insulin regulated. I imagine there will be a lot of changes around the house for a while.

Catch up with you all soon.

Hugs,

Rose Ann

Hugs to you Rose Ann and as well for your son. My niece who is now 19 has lived with diabetes since she was 4... it can be tough, but it is manageable.

I've never commented before but my dd was diagnosed with diabetes at age 5. She's 8 now. It's amazingly overwhelming at first but it will get better. We did shots about 6 months and then she got an insulin pump. Life was much better after that. You are welcome to email me if there's anything I can do to help!

Hugs Rose Ann! I agree with those who have said that the most difficult time is the beginning. Our nephew was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 3 and my SIL speaks openly about her experience. I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you.

Oh, Rose Ann! You sound so cool and in control, and you have to be, of course, but I know this must be a very difficult and trying time for you and your son. I have a friend who just went through this with her son. It was scary at first, but it has become routine now. I don't think a mother ever quits worrying about her children. I'm sending you the biggest hugs. I'm so sorry for your worry and distress. Take care, please.

I can completely relate. My daughter was dianosed 5 years ago, just days after her 12 birthday and days before entering middle school. It was quite an adjustment. Hang in there!

RoseAnn, just came across your blog and I have to tell you that I know exactly what you're going through. Our daughter was diagnosed at age 4 1/2 and now she is married with two children, wears an insulin pump, for better control and has always done wonderfully!! If you have any questions about anything, please do not hesitate to email me and I will try to answer them!! {{Hugs}}
