Lizzie Anne Challenge 2

These Lizzie Anne ice skates from Christmas In The City, bring back some fond childhood memories. Coming from a family with ten children, we didn't have a lot of extras. I'm not sure where my father found a few pairs of used ice skates, but I was able to make a pair work for me. My older brother and I would walk down our country gravel road to a little pond about a mile away from our home. We would skate until our feet were so cold, we could hardly feel them. We would bring along a little radio and I would pretend I was an Olympic champion...lol.

Lizzie Anne Designs is having weekly challenges in their own special forum over at Splitcoaststampers. This card is for this week's challenge. We needed to make "a black and white card with a splash of color" using this sketch:

Thanks visiting today! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Card Stock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Creamy Caramel

I love this card! Your skates really look nostalgic. Great job!

I come from a family of 10 too! We used to walk down to a park to skate. I am the 9th of 10 children so I was always wearning something that was handed down through several people.
