I was very honored to be asked my one of my Stamping Heroes, Laurie Schmidlin... to participate in the Our Creative Corner weekly challenge as a Guest Designer. This was the card I created for it.
Although this card looks rather simple, it took me a long time to create. There is a lot of piecing involved...and the Flower Soft was trimmed down to show the image detail better. It was worth it, though.
You can't tell the window is made of acetate on this one, but I love the look! Inspired totally by the flotation device.
My sweet and talented friend, Sue Berker... wrote a tutorial of how to create this cart. She made all different kinds of creations from the cart design, and this Picnic Cart is the variation I chose to make. All of the food items were stamped, colored, and carefully trimmed. Took forever, but I loved the end result.
This Flower Pot was another fun creation to make! Highly inspired by Beate, after watching her video tutorial.
This is my first Recessed Window card, and I truly LOVE making them! I used another of Beate's video tutorials...and though the design is quite simple...it's effect is quite eerie.
This is another rather simple design where I let the beautiful embossing and papers stand pretty much alone...only using a few carefully-placed accents.
The introduction of the Purely Innocence line at My Favorite things has quickly become a favorite of mine.
Thanks for stopping, and I hope you've enjoyed my first yearly review!
