Happy Earth Day!

**This is my second post today. Please scroll down to see the first.**

Happy Earth Day! Lance's class is celebrating Earth Day today, by cleaning up around their school. I thought it would be cool if he had his own shirt to celebrate this special day, so I stamped the earth image from Starving Artistamps DoodleFactory Final Frontier stamp set. I used Basic Black Craft Ink from SU, and my Copic markers to color it. Lance looks pretty sleepy in the picture, but he was thrilled with how it turned out. What do you think?

I've decorated my box to hold my Christmas cards as I make them...using Colorful Christmas patterned papers from My Mind's Eye. The cards inside all use various papers in the collection as well. Star Of Wonder Ornament

Oh gosh...here's that ornament I promised a week ago. All of the Halloween events made things busy for a while, then I had to wait until I had the "green light" to post it.

This ornament was made using the new Flower Soft
Globes and Software. The Splitcoaststampers Product Focus Review Team has been busy creating with these new goodies, and have posted our reviews and projects for you all to check out. Let's not forget the tutorials along the right hand column of the main review page, as well.

Stamps/Images: Digital images from Flower Soft Snow Globes CD ROM, Brayton Font (JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock: White (Georgia Pacific)
Ink: Inkjet Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Display Globe/Polar White Flower Soft & PVA Glue (Flower Soft), Crop-A-Dile & Silver Eyelet, Silver Elastic Cord, Scor-Tape, White Crushed Velvet Ribbon (Basic Black Ribbon Collection from BasicGrey), Glue Dots

The snowman and background were images found on the CD, and the sentiment was stamped with my Brayton Font from JustRite Stampers. I used some crushed velvet ribbon for the borders, and my Crop-A-Dile and a silver eyelet for the hanger (a piece of silver elastic cord).

Spellbinders Ornaments

It's all about ornaments today, and I have a card and decoration for your tree. I made both using various Spellbinder dies, and PaperTrey Ink papers.

To create this card, I used Circle Nestabilities and PaperTrey Ink Gold cardstock. My snowflake strip was die cut with my Snowflake Borderabilites. I adhered the strip with Tombo Multi glue, then trimmed off the edges. The cap and loop were cut freehand, and I scored the ridges with my Scor-Pal. I strung some Gold Elastic Cord through the loop, then tied it. Lastly...I added some Adornit Gems for a little added sparkle.

Card Stock: Gold (PTI), White
Accessories:
Circle Nestabilities, Snowflake Borderabilities, Scor-Pal, Crop-A-Dile, Adornit Gems, Gold Elastic Cord, Tombo Multi Glue

This little tree ornament was created with my Nested Pine Trees Shapeabilities. I used the medium sized tree die with PaperTrey Ink Silver cardstock. I die cut 8 of them, and scored down the centers of each, with my Scor-Pal. I pre-folded each, then adhered them one by one to each other using Scor-Tape. Before adhering the final edges, I used Silver Elastic Cord...tying a knot at the top, and a clear bead from my Pretties Kit on the bottom.

Card Stock: Silver (PTI)
Accessories: Nested Pine Trees Shapeabilities, Scor-Pal, Scor Tape, Silver Elastic Cord, Bead from Pretties Kit

I hope you've enjoyed my projects today, and thanks for stopping by!

Matchbox Tree

I had fun making this Tree! I love to make shaped cards, and that was what I set out to do ...when I began making this. I embossed my Wasabi card using my Herringbone Cuttlebug folder, then die cut the tree with my Nested Pine Trees Shapeabilities. I die cut all of the little snowflakes (using the Snowflakes Borderabilities set), then I accented the centers with Taylor's Twinkles. I adhered them on my tree with Tombo glue. At that point I began thinking my tree would be so much cuter with a stand. I thought about using my Matchbox die for the stand by cutting a couple of slits into the top of the box to support my tree. It worked perfectly! I knew I had the perfect sentiment (from Oh Christmas Tree/Lizzie Anne Designs) for my tree, then stamped and punched it out with my Modern Label punch. Now I have a cute decorative card with the gift box included. How cool is that?

Stamps: Oh Christmas Tree (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Wild Wasabi, White, textured Red
Ink: Pure Poppy (PTI)
Accessories: Nested Pine Trees Shapeabilities, Snowflake Borderabilities, Herringbone Cuttlebug Folder, Scor-Tape, Taylor's Multi-Colored Twinkles & Tombo Multi Glue, Matchbox Bigz XL die, Modern Label punch, Hobby Blade and Tim Holtz ruler

I can't believe it's Friday already! This week has flown...but I guess that's how it is when you're busy!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a nice weekend!

Ink: Whisper White craft, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Certainly Celery ribbon, Striped Bashful Blue ribbon, Mini-Medley White Daisy brads (CTMH), Modern Label punch (SU), 4 x 6 acrylic frames, 3 x 3 Post It Notes
Goodness...it has been so crazy around here with the kids home from school! It seems I don't have much time to stamp and create at all, and why I have been absent from blogging and blurfing. I can't wait to catch up (though I don't know when that will be). I am so looking forward to getting into some kind of routine soon!

Here are a couple of 3 x 3 Post It Note holders that I made as gifts. The patterned paper is Garden Inspirations (downloadable paper), and the stamped flowers and message are from the Garden Inspirations Little Bits stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today...and I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Teacher's Gift

It's been a while since I've posted, I know. We have been very busy with end-of-the-year school "stuff"...which brings me to the Teacher Journal Jar Project that I have posted. When Nichole posted this a while ago, I knew I wanted to "CASE" it for Lance's teacher of the past two years. The cover of the journal is leather, so I chose to make a belly band instead of something permanently adhered. I do not have "Teacher's Apple", so I used my adorable apple from my LAD Tutti Fruity set. I had to ink the different areas of the apple with markers to get the various colors, and I think it turned out pretty well.

Stamps: Tutti Fruity (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Neenah Natural White
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories: Pure Poppy Topnotch Twill (PTI), Circle Nestabilities, Soho Designer Hardware (SU), Numbers Collage Cuttlebug Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals
Here is the complete gift with the Bath & Body Irresistible Apple products in the basket. I slid the belly band up for the photo, but I've decided to leave it in the correct position when the gift is given. I hope she likes it!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! I hope your weekend is a great one!!

Demo Projects

I hope you all had a nice weekend! Ours was quite busy, as we were celebrating birthdays. The kids had a lot of fun, though...and that is what is important!

The projects that I'm showing today were from the Demo meeting I went to a while back. I never ended up finding my Notepad project, so I just made it over (though it's a bit different).

The card was also from the meeting, and I changed this up a bit as well (not too much, though). I'm not sure who designed these projects, but they sure were fun!! Thanks Jill Ann!!

Blog Break

Stamps: Tea Time
Card Stock: Purple Kitchen & Orange Chiffon 4 bar Notecards (AMuse), Berry Sorbet (PTI), Neenah Natural White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Clear Spica glitter pen
Accessories: Oval Nestabilites, Scallop Edge punch (SU), Birds & Blooms Sizzlits set (SU), Berry Sorbet Topnotch Twill, Stampin' Dimensional, Glue Dots, half pearl from Pretties Kit (SU)

I hope you all had a nice week! I ended up taking an unintended blog break. Busy times!

My teapot card was originally going to use LAD Sketch #70, but I ended up getting a bit off track. Anyhow, the notecards are from A Muse, and the teapot is from Tea Time (Lizzie Anne Designs). I thought the colors were kind of fun and different together. The teapot is colored with Copic markers and matches the notecard much better IRL.

This next project is a wallet that I made from an Orange Juice carton. I found the instructions in the Februrary Family Fun magazine.

Card Stock: Pretty In Pink, Hawaii Papaya (SU)
Accessories: Pretty In Pink Striped Grosgrain ribbon, Tombo Multi glue, Scor-Tape, Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilites

It was fun to make something a little different. I need to try the projects in the Family Fun magazine more often.

My son turned 8 yesterday, and today we will be celebrating his birthday (as well as my daughter's), with our parents. I imagine it will be a very busy day, but I hope to catch up with you all real soon. Have a lovely weekend, and thanks for stopping by!!

Scalloped Bag & Card

I'm continuing with some baby projects today. I have used my new Scallop Bag Die from SU to make my bag. These are so easy to put together, because they cut and score at the same time. I used my Scor-Tape to adhere the pieces together. The felt button is from Hero Arts, and I found mine here at Ellen's store.

Stamps: In the Nursery (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Textured Barely Banana, Almost Amethyst, Neenah Solar White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Almost Amethyst, Copic markers
Accessories: Scalloped Bag Die, Scallop Circle, 1 3/8 Circle, 1/16 Circle, and Scallop Edge punches (all SU), Fancy Felt Buttons (Hero Arts), May Arts Polka Dot sheer ribbon, Magnetic Snaps Closures (BasicGrey), Scor-Tape, Glue Dots

Isn't this sentiment so sweet?

If you've enjoyed the adorable images from the baby projects I've been posting recently, you may be interested to know that In the Nursery (the set they are from), is the product of the week at the Lizzie Anne Designs store this week.

Thanks for your visit today!! I hope you have a great week!!

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Barely Banana, Copic markers
Accessories: Scor-Pal, Top Note Die, Scor-Tape, Cuttlebug Spots & Dots folder, Calling Card Labels (Martha Stewart), star bling, Glue Dots, Tombo Muliti Glue

I was planning to post this yesterday, but it's been a homework kind of week (catching up from my son being out last week). I followed Angie Tieman's wonderful tutorial to make this cute Top Note box. I used In the Nursery, from Lizzie Anne Designs. My DH's niece is due very soon, and I was thinking this little box might come in handy to store some small keepsakes inside. I hope she likes it!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend! (I must get outside now, and enjoy this nice weather while we have it).
