Different Colors

Hi everyone! Once again I am posting samples from Melanie's Wild at Heart set. These are my final samples of what I created before the set went live. I know I will be using this set more, and trying out some of Melanie's great ideas she's posted on her blog recently. Cards come together rather quickly, with such a beautiful image to work with!!

These are pretty much straight stamping using different colors. I hope you enjoy them.

Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Today I am featuring a couple more samples created with Melanie's new Wild at Heart set, which is now available to purchase HERE at Gina K. Designs. I have been having so much fun with this set! Melanie has a whole bunch of tips that she has posted today at her blog with many ideas of different ways to use this set. I am going to jot down some of them to try myself. ;)

My first card used the Tone-On-Tone stamping, and I've highlighted the pretty flowers with my white gel pen. The sentiment is embossed with white detail embossing powder.

This next card was stamped with black ink, and the flowers were colored in with my R27 Copic marker. I've added some red Stickles to the centers for some added sparkle.

Sweet For You {and Melanie}

When Melanie asked if I would like to participate in her blog hop Blogoversary celebration, I was more than happy, to agree!!

Stamps: "Have a Cookie" (Melanie Muenchinger/manufactured by Gina K. Designs)
Card Stock: Pure Luxury 80 & 120 lb., Silver (PTI), Crystal Clear (Flourishes)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Sketch markers, Clear Spica pen, Pigma Micron 03 pen
Accessories: Hobby Blade, Tim Holtz ruler, BasicGrey Precision File set (Jacksonbelle Embellishments), Scotch Foam Tape

This card uses her most adorable "Have a Cookie!" set. I designed my range to match my real one (white with a ceramic cooktop), but my card opens like a traditional card. If I CASE myself with this, I will try it with the oven door opening the way oven doors do (that would be cool!). My dials use the "timer" image from the set, but I inked with a marker to omit the numbers for my use. They are popped on foam tape for added dimension. The oven door has a clear window, but it is difficult to tell in the picture. Congratulations on your milestone, Melanie!! Your sets are so much fun!!!

Carte-licous

Stamps: Just So Sporty (Melanie Muenchinger/Gina K. & Starving Artistamps)
Card Stock: Riding Hood Red, Naturals White, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Mellow (BasicGrey), Neenah Solar White
Ink: Palette Noir, Memento Rich Cocoa, Wild Wasabi, Copic Sketch markers
Accessories: Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, 1" & 1¼" Circle punches, Martha Stewart Leaf punch, Antique Brass Clip, A Muse stitched ribbon, Tomo Mono Multi Glue, Scotch foam tape

It's time once again for another Carte-licious challenge with my friends Sue and Melissa!! It was my turn to send images to the others, and I chose this cozy hoodie from Melanie Muenchinger's Just So Sporty set. I decided to make a Z-Fold card (you may find my tutorial here). The patterned paper is from my BasicGrey Mellow pad. The hoodie is colored with Copic markers, and mounted with Scotch foam tape. I also colored and mounted another pocket for dimension. The sentiment is from my Give Thanks sentiment set from Starving Artistamps. The little leaves are from my Martha Stewart punch.

Please be sure to check out the blogs of Sue and Melissa (click on their names above) to see their wonderful challenge cards, and thanks for stopping by today!

*Personal/non-stamping update:
I took my dog for an ultrasound and urine test today. It looks as though he may have cancer. More results should be in tomorrow. We are just trying to keep him comfortable, but his health is deteriorating quickly. Very sad.

More Fun Tins!

I have been trying to upload these tins all day, but "craziness" has kept me away...lol. Well, now that the kids are down for the night (whew) I'm getting down to business.

My first tin label was stamped (kissed with Aida Cloth) to resemble an old-fashioned fishing bag (is that what they're called?). I used my new Chocolate Chip Polytwill ribbon (SU) for the "straps", and Hodgepodge Hardware (SU) for the buckle. The fish on my gift tag is from the retired "Fishin'" set. My tin is more of a gift box, as it wouldn't really be all that practical for taking along fishing. If I had used the water-proof labels found at Gina's store it could have been used for miscellaneous small fishing items. My original idea was fishing hooks, weights, small lures, and a Leatherman® Micra™ tool. How many times have you snagged your line on something, and had to cut the line? Who wants to bring along a whole tackle box, when you could easily bring a small tin along?

Stamps: What's in your tin 1 & 2 (Melanie Muenchinger/Gina K. Designs), Aida Cloth (SU), Fishin' (SU)

My second tin is not such an original idea, but it's something I needed for my son. He's lost two teeth already, and currently has a couple more that are quite loose. We'll feel much better leaving his teeth in this safe little box. The little tooth was drawn freehand, and trimmed out.

I need to work on some cards, so I will have to update the links and recipe a bit later. If you have questions, just let me know.

What's In Your Tin?

I am so very honored that Melanie Muenchinger asked if I would be interested in using her new "What's in your tin 1" set to make some projects!! Of course!!! She set me the set, and this adorable card as well!! Thank you Melanie!!!! I have "What's in your tin 2" on order, and I am going to have so much fun working these sets together (and with lots of other stamps as well)!

You may find Melanie's sets, and the tins at Gina K. Designs.

Here's Melanie's adorable card using her "Just So Hoppy" set.

Images ©2008 by Melanie Muenchinger

My first project is for my oldest son (who does have the Chickenpox, by the way). Anyhow, I asked what he would like to store in his little tin. He decided he wanted to store the shark teeth my sister found for him on the beaches of Florida. (She is vacationing there now, and promised to get him more). I thought the pine branches on this BasicGrey Fruitcake paper looked a bit like seaweed (who knew Christmas paper would work for this?) I used the reverse side of the paper for the top, and Amuse Twinkle stickers for the bling.

I mounted the teeth on a piece of acetate with Mini Glue Dots, so you can still enjoy the "seaweed". When my sister returns with more teeth, I will mount those on another piece of acetate, and layer them up. Zach loves his tin!!

I've decorated a tin for my almost seven year old as well, and will post that another time.

Just So Hoppy!

Hi everyone! Today's card is another that I did for the February Dirty challenge over at SCS. This one uses Melanie's new "Just so Hoppy!" set (Gina K. Designs). What a super cut set this is!!

Images © Melanie Muenchinger & Cornish Heritage Farms

The base of the card is Certainly Celery, and the Barely Banana panel is stamped with Geometric Flowers (Cornish Heritage Farms backgrounder designed by Lisa Strahl). The little bird is stamped on white card stock with Adirondack Pitch Black ink and colored with my Copic Sketch markers. The dotted Celery panel is from the Prints SU designer paper and is punched out with my Scallop circle punch. I used a flower from the Flower Fusion Kit (SU), and a Rhinestone Brad (Circle Ice, SU). The ribbon was a little piece I had in my collection, and I cannot remember who it came from...sorry!

Hippy Giraffe

I've been wanting to make something with this adorable giraffe from Melanie's "Just so Hippy!" set, so I made up this simple little 3¼ x 6½ inch card. The giraffe was colored with my Copic Sketch markers, then trimmed and mounted on Dimensionals. Nothing too complicated here, so I won't go into details. If you have any questions...please feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking!

WSC31

This is the sketch for Beate's weekend challenge #31. I'm so glad I was able to get to it a bit earlier this week. ;)

Here's my card:

This adorable hippo is in Melanie's new set, "Just so Hippy", which is manufactured by Gina K. Designs. Isn't she darling?

The base of my card is Cameo Coral. The Soft Sky layer was embossed with my Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug folder from Eclectic Paperie. The strip of designer paper is from the new Western Sky paper from SU. I stamped the hippo on Naturals White paper with Palette Noir ink, and colored with my Aqua Painter and Classic inks. I used my Nestabilites for the circle and scalloped circle. I used my SU Build-a-Brad kit to make my brads with the flower from the set.

Thanks so much for visiting!!
