Fall Birthdays

Stamps: Fantasy (Penny Black), Friendship Blooms (Gina K. Designs)
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, White, Old Olive, Brocade Background (SU)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Ruby Red, Summer Sun
Accessories: Circle/Scalloped Circle/Square Nestabilities, 5/8 inch Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, 5/16 inch white brads, Foam Tape

I have a lot of Fall birthdays coming up, so I thought I'd better get started on them. Laurie's sketch WSC90 is what I used for this card. I've also used my "Fantasy" stamp from Penny Black, which I purchased about a year ago. The sentiment is from Friendship Blooms (Gina K. Designs).

Things continue to be super busy around here, but I have been trying to continuing to stamp at night (such a stress reliever). I hope to do a little blog hopping here and there today as well.

Thanks for stopping by!!

I'm Here!

November is going to be an exciting month! I have some upcoming blog candy to share soon, some news (a bit later in the month), and hopefully lots more projects. But....first things first.

This is my final Halloween card I made this year. It's simple, but the Scary Sweet stamp by Penny Black is just so cute! The sentiment and candy background are from Fright Night by My Favorite Things (both can be found at Eclectic Paperie).

Stamps: Scary Sweet (Penny Black, Inc.), Fright Night (My Favorite Things)
Card Stock: Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Palette Noir, Summer Sun, Copic Sketch Markers
Accessories: Paper Piercer (Making Memories), Ribbon from Jacksonbelle Embellishments, Stampin' Dimensionals

These Frankenstein candy bars were for the school kids. I found the whole idea for these over at Angie's blog. Thanks Angie!! Frankie's hair and face were done by free hand, and the eyes were punched with my ¼" & ½" circle punches. I used Kit Kat candy bars as the treats. I didn't adhere the paper to the candy so that the bar could be slid right out. The kids were using Frankie as finger puppets when they were done with the candy.

Stamps: none
Card Stock: Old Olive, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Sakura Micron pen
Accessories: Tombo Mono Multi Liquid Glue, ¼ & ½ inch circle punches, Sticky Strip

Thanks for visiting today! I have a whole lot of blurfing to catch up on, and I can't wait to see what you all have been up to!

I really needed a break from the projects I've been working on. How fun to do this Halloween "Z" fold card! It's for Beate's weekend sketch. Can you believe I still have a couple more Halloween cards to make, after all I've already made?

The main image is Night Things from Penny Black Inc. and the adorable bats and Trick or Treat bag is from the Lizzie Ann Designs sets Spooked (bats), and Celebrations (bag).

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

A Penny Black Halloween

About a week ago, I noticed the cutest cards made with this adorable Night Things image by Penny Black. I needed to finish up a few Halloween cards, so I thought this image (and another that I'll try to work with later), would be the perfect ones to help me complete my task. The sentiments are from the My Favorite Things stamp set Fright Night. All stamps can be found at Eclectic Paperie.

The base of my card is Pumpkin Pie, and the designer paper is Halloween Night (retired SU). I used my Spellbinders Dies and Big Shot for the main image, and colored with my Copic Sketch markers. The ribbon is May Arts.

Thanks for looking!

Challenges Anyone?

Today I have some challenge cards to show you. The first is for Angel's birthday countdown daily challenge. This is actually the first of hers, that I've been able to do. Angel has a new challenge every day until her birthday, and she is even giving prizes. Check out all the details at her blog if you'd like to know more.

One of my favorite In Colors last year was Marigold Morning, and that is what I decided to use for my card base. My beautiful flower is found in the new Floral Frenzy Lizzie Anne stamp set. I stamped the flower with Palette Noir on Naturals White, then watercolored with my Aqua Painter and re-inkers. I used Stardust Stickles, and an Adornit Gem to add sparkle to the center of the flower. The flower was cut out, then mounted to a piece of Soft Sky paper (which was previously pierced with my kit). The strip of designer paper is Little Girls from Cosmo Cricket. The ribbon is from the Sherbet Ribbon Originals collection. You will find the sentiment in the Lizzie Anne Sketched Sentiments set.

My second card is for a couple of different challenges. First being Beate's WSC23 and second... Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge No. 4.

I just received my Flying Stars Penny Black Stamp from Eclectic Paperie, so I wanted to use it right away. It's a large stamp, so it was perfect for the challenges. My card base is River Rock, and the patterned paper is Stella Ruby from BasicGrey. My image is stamped with Old Olive on Very Vanilla card stock. I colored it with my Stampin' Write markers, and Aqua Painter on the leaves. I thought it needed some sparkle, so I pulled out my Spica Glitter pens (Clear & Pink), and gave it some pretty shimmer. The ribbon is 5/8 Old Olive grosgrain. I wanted to keep it simple, as in Sharon's challenge, so I decided my card was finished.

I hope you enjoyed my challenge cards, and wish you to have a wonderful Sunday! Thanks for looking!
