Cards For Nephews

Hi guys!  I'm back with some birthday cards I've made for a couple of my nephews.  They had birthdays less than a week apart, so I knew I had to get busy...and made both in one evening (small miracle).

The first card is using stamps from My Favorite Things, and papers from SU.  The little "cheer" die cut is from a Paper Smooches die set called Christmas Words.

My second card was inspired by some cards I saw posted on Pinterest.  I didn't use any specific card I found, but instead grabbed an actual Lego brick from my son's collection.  I used my Brayton Font stamps from Just Rite for the "LEGO" lettering.  Not a perfect match, but the size was right.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!

Sailing With JustRite

It's another Friday, and I am happy to check another birthday card off my July list. This one is for my brother-in-law, and is very much inspired by Denise's card. I loved Denise's card using the same image from By the Sea (JustRite), and totally loved her sailors knot. I had to look up how to tie one for myself, and used Natural Rope Twine (SU).

Stamps: By the Sea (JustRite)
Card Stock: Blue Bayou, Cream, Offbeat (BasicGrey)
Ink: Blue Bayou, Antique Linen Distress (Ranger), Copic Markers, Inkssentials Opaque Pen
Accessories: Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Cutter's Kit (SU), Natural Rope Twine (SU), Piercing Template and tool (SU)

I hope you all have a great weekend...and thanks for stopping by!

Star Of Wonder Ornament

Oh gosh...here's that ornament I promised a week ago. All of the Halloween events made things busy for a while, then I had to wait until I had the "green light" to post it.

This ornament was made using the new Flower Soft
Globes and Software. The Splitcoaststampers Product Focus Review Team has been busy creating with these new goodies, and have posted our reviews and projects for you all to check out. Let's not forget the tutorials along the right hand column of the main review page, as well.

Stamps/Images: Digital images from Flower Soft Snow Globes CD ROM, Brayton Font (JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock: White (Georgia Pacific)
Ink: Inkjet Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Display Globe/Polar White Flower Soft & PVA Glue (Flower Soft), Crop-A-Dile & Silver Eyelet, Silver Elastic Cord, Scor-Tape, White Crushed Velvet Ribbon (Basic Black Ribbon Collection from BasicGrey), Glue Dots

The snowman and background were images found on the CD, and the sentiment was stamped with my Brayton Font from JustRite Stampers. I used some crushed velvet ribbon for the borders, and my Crop-A-Dile and a silver eyelet for the hanger (a piece of silver elastic cord).

JustRite Good Friends

I love these adorable JustRite snow people! I used my Winterberry (Memory Box) paper for the nice, snowy background...and added a bit of detailed embossing on the lower edge with my Snowflake Borderabilities. The tiny snowflakes were also made with the Borderabilites. I used my Xyron 150 to apply adhesive to the flakes, then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.

Stamps: Old Fashioned Christmas (JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, White, Winterberry (Memory Box)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Riding Hood Red, Memento Rich Cocoa, Spica Glitter Pen, Copic Markers
Accessories: Snowflake Borderabilities, Circle & Scallped Circle Nestibilities, Xyron 150 & Dazzling Diamonds, Tombo Multi Glue, Foam Tape, Chocolate Chip 1¼ inch Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Stamp Simply with JustRite

I wanted to try Sharon's Stamp Simply Krafty Black Challenge (ssnotime108), so I pulled out my JustRite Stamps, and made this. The stamps, Bow Easy, and yummy ribbon were all purchased at Sharon's store. The white is actually an off-white, but it looks more like regular white in the photo...and it is embossed with the new Victoria Cuttlebug folder. I have also glued some Crystal Tiny Twinkles on a couple of the flower centers for just a touch of sparkle.

Stamps: Thinking of You (JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock: Kraft, Black, Neenah Natural White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Oval & Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, Bow Easy, Silk Ribbon, Victoria Cuttlebug Folder, Scotch Foam Tape, Glue Dots, Tombo Glue, Taylor's Tiny Twinkles

Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!!

JustRite & Creatopia

Today I have a couple of projects that I made for my T1 diabetic son, Lance. They are mostly keepsakes, and he seems to like them a lot.

My first project is a journaling book that I made for Lance to use whenever he wants to jot down his thoughts and feelings about living with T1 diabetes. There are high emotions whenever his sugars are too high, or too low...and I thought it would help him out if he had a special place to write things down. He has been encouraged throughout school to continue writing, so perhaps this may help with that as well.

I used some SU chipboard and some denim fabric. The Creatopia has a Fabric Adhesive Refillz that is 12" wide, and sticks sooo well. I used my Corner Chomper to round the corners, and my Crop-a-Dile to punch the holes in my fabric-covered chipboard. I used my JustRite Stamps for the personalized label. The stickers are Jolee's Boutique.

Stamps: Trompe Script Font, Special Occasions Font, Times New Roman 15 pt. Font (all from JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock: Kraft, White (PTI), Chipboard (SU)
Ink:
Onyx Black VersaFine

Accessories:
Xyron Creatopia & Fabric Adhesive, Oval Nestabilites, Jolee's Boutique stickers (EK Success), Crop-a-dile, Rings, Corner Chomper, Ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Ribbon Store, Denim Fabric

The next project has photos of the walk I posted about a few days ago. I didn't mat them, as I wanted to keep things pretty flat for laminating with the Laminating Refillz. The decorative edging on the blue paper was made using my Creatopia, then I ran the whole layer through the Permanent Refillz to stick it on my green Coredinations paper. Next I laminated the whole thing, so now Lance is able to use it as a placemat or just as a protected keepsake as he chooses.

Card Stock: Vintage Collection (Coredinations), Sanctuary (me & my BIG ideas)
Ink:
Pigma Micron pen (Sakura)
Accessories:
Creatopia Cutz/ Permanent Adhesive, and Laminate

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great day!!

A JustRite Christmas Continues

**Edited to add** The Splitcoaststampers Product Review Team are reviewing the newly release JustRite Stampers Christmas stamps, and you may find the review HERE. Beate has made some awesome new videos including How to Use and Personalize your Creations with JustRite Christmas Stamps and a new Tent Topper Card Tutorial & Video featuring JustRite Stampers. There is also a JustRite Christmas gallery HERE.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!! Today I am back with another Christmas card using my JustRite Stampers again. I love how you can personalize your cards with the different fonts available. The colors are kind of unusual colors for Christmas, but I picked them from the strip of Figgy papers from BasicGrey. The Textured Impressions folder is Petals-A-Plenty. I also used the Eyelets Borderabilities and Pendant dies. I think this image could use a "glow" around the candles, but I'm afraid I will make it look worse, if I attempt it.

Card Stock: White, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Figgy (BasicGrey)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Accessories:
Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions, Eyelet Borderabilities & Pendants, Circle Nestabilities, Corner Chomper, Tombo Glue, Scotch Foam Tape

CAS JustRite Christmas

I'm busy with my JustRite Christmas stamps, once again. A couple more cards to mark off my list...and it feels good!

Both of my cards are very CAS, and the sentiments are from the Christmas Joy set from JustRite Stampers.

Card Stock: Wild Wasabi, White, Winter Bright
Ink: Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Oval & Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, Snowflakes Cuttlebug Folder, Corner Chomper, Clear Gem Stickers (Martha Stewart), Scotch Foam Tape

This card looks so pretty in real life, but was difficult to capture in the photo. The embossing die is hard to find now, but was originally purchased at Eclectic Paperie.

Stamps:  Christmas Joy (JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock:  Bashful Blue, Taste of Textiles
Ink:  VersaMark
Accessories:  White Detail Embossing Powder, Oval & Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, Winter Village Cuttlebug Folder, Bashful Blue 1" Double-Stitched Grosgran Ribbon, Karen Foster, Scrappers Floss, Adornit Gems, Scotch Foam Tape

I will be getting back into fall/Halloween stamping again soon, I'm sure. ;) Thanks so much for your visit!!

JustRite Tri-Shutter

I have been having a lot of fun trying out the new tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. I think the videos Beate has been doing, have been so helpful...and make these pretty much irresistible! ; ) Here I have tried out the Tri-Shutter card, and used my new JustRight Christmas stamps to finish off another Christmas card early. The patterned paper is retired, and I thought it would be pretty to use as Christmas paper.

Stamps: A Merry Little Christmas Set, 15- point Times New Roman (JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock: Red, Vintage Cream, Cerise
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Red Spica Glitter pen, Copic Markers
Accessories: 1 5/8" Stamper, Harmony Rectangular Stamper, Scor-Pal, Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Tim Holz Ruler & SU Hobby Blade, A Muse Twinkle Stickers, Ribbon (Verve)

A close-up of the greeting section.

I know it seems a bit early for Christmas cards, but I am going to try and do a better job at getting them completed, than I did last year. (Last minute I had to go and buy a box of Hallmark cards. For shame!!)

Cherish

Stamps: Big Occasions Centers & Borders (JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock: Aqua Mist, White, Everyday Blessings (PaperTrey Ink)
Ink: Soft Sky, River Rock
Accessories: Shapeabilities™ Lattice Pendants, Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Pearls (from Pretties Kit), Crystal Effects, Tombo Glue, Scotch Foam Tape

I wanted to try my new Shapabilities Lattice Pendant die, and I thought I would pull out my JustRite Stampers as well. I used my Big Occasions Centers & Borders for my Wedding/Anniversary card. The pretty papers are from PaperTrey Ink. My PTI inks are having a quality issue, so I used the closest SU colors: Soft Sky, and River Rock. I kept my little "scrap" pieces from my die cut to accent the corners, and some pearls from my Pretties Kit for my Pendant.

A New Look & JustRite

Happy Labor Day! I hope your last big weekend of "summer" is going well. Me...well, I'm staying nice and comfy in my central air, as it's a hot one out today. I have been getting the kids' file cabinet ready for their school work etc., and going through last minute lists with them. They seem to be pretty excited about school.

On to bloggy stuff now. If you're a regular to my blog, I'm sure you've noticed a new look here. I have been toying around with my banner and colors a little here and there, and haven't really liked anything. I finally decided to head over to Mama Dini's Digi-Sig Diner, as she has made me some fantastic watermarks in the past. When I read Dina's August 13th post, I decided that NOW was the time to let the pro take over...and she sure did!!

Isn't it a beauty?

Dina also made me a wonderful background and some watermarks!! All in record speed, and was such a delight to work with!! Thanks so much, Dina!! You ROCK!! Use the link above, or the button below, if you would like to check out Dina's site.

I had a chance to do a little paper crafting, and made a card with my new Ambrosia BasicGrey paper. I didn't want to cover up much of that pretty pattern, so I just cut the edge wavy with my 12-inch Decorative Trimmer from Creative Memories. The stamping was done with my JustRite Stampers kits.

Stamps: D.I.Y. C-45 Monogram Stamp & Storage Box (frame), Special Occasions Font
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Naturals White, Tangerine Tango, Ambrosia (BasicGrey)
Ink: Basic Gray
Accessories: Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, 12-inch Decorative Trimmer (Creative Memories), Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon, Scotch foam tape

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I appreciate your visit!!

Wednesday's "Dirt"

Are you all getting tired of my "Dirty" Challenge cards yet? I know I'm having fun with some of my neglected stamps. Woo hoo!!

Did you know that you can win prizes by participating? Read all about it here (see post #70)

Today I am posting a couple more of my challenge cards. To see todays' challenges, click here.

JustRite Damask

I stamped the Damask with VersaMark on the Cream paper, then embossed with clear embossing powder. After it cooled, I used my Brayer and Black ink to get this look.

Stamps: Damask (Flourishes, LLC), Times New Roman Font kit (JustRite Stampers)
Card Stock: Vintage Cream (PTI), Textured Basic Black
Ink: VersaMark, Adirondack Pitch Black, VersaFine Onyx Black
Accessories: Crystal Clear Embossing Powder, Corner Rounder punch, Brayer, 5/8 inch Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, Circle Nestabilities, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Remembering You

I'm such a fan of Pine's white on Kraft, and thought the Queen Anne's Lace would look pretty stamped this way. For a little extra punch, I also stamped with my VersaFine Vintage Sepia.

Stamps: Queen Anne's Lace, Faith, (Starving Artistamps)
Card Stock: Kraft, White (PaperTrey Ink)
Ink: VersaFine Vintage Sepia, Craft White (SU), VersaFine Onyx Black

Getting "Dirty" on Tuesday

Hello on Tuesday!! It's another Dare to get Dirty challenge day, and these cards are for that. Here's the link to check out todays' challenges. Fun, fun stuff!!

I made this card for my nephew, and used my JustRite Stampers to personalize it. He is at that age between teen and adult, so I thought I would play it safe and choose some masculine colored papers with this simple design. Here's the front:

And here's the inside:

I used the smaller letters from the same kit to create "Happy Birthday". I hope Christian doesn't think it's too boring. ;)

Stamps: JustRite C-45 Monogram Stamp Box, Special Occasions Font
Card Stock: Night of Navy, Going Gray, GP White, Boxer (BasicGrey)
Ink: Black forn the C-45 kit, VersaFine Onyx Black
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Stampin' Dimensionals

This card is a simple, single layer card that is water-colored with my Aquapainter and re-inkers. My Aquapainter was releasing too much water, so the coloring isn't so nice. It's a sweet little birdie card anyhow, and who doesn't appreciate those?

Stamps: Nature Set (A Muse-clear)
Card Stock: Naturals White
Ink: Palette Noir, Berry Sorbet (PTI)--Reinkers: Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Summer Sun
Accessories: blue sheer ribbon (A Muse), Rain Dot, Aqua Painter, ¾ inch Circle punch

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're having a nice week so far!!
