A Guys' Birthday

Hi everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start! I pulled out some of my stamping supplies to create this card. It's supposed to be for a guy (always more difficult for me), but I hope it works. The typewriter is from Hero Arts, and the sentiment is from PTI. All of the supplies are listed below.

You're Special!

Stamps: Thinking of You (Card Art from Hero Arts), Hello Birdie (Sparkle Clear Hero Arts)

Card Stock: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Clear Spica glitter pen
Accessories: Scalloped Edge Punch (SU), Photo Corner punch, Pretties flower (SU), two scoops glazed brads (BasicGrey), Rain Dots, daisyd's rubon stitch tape, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tombo Glue

While I'm waiting my my new Upsy Daisy (SU) set to arrive, I thought I would have some fun with my new Card Art stamp from Hero Arts. I replaced the sentiment "thinking of you", with "you're special" (Hello Birdie Sparkle Clear set). I'm also using the new In Colors again. It's funny, because I'm usually not a fan of red. The Riding Hood Red has been one of my favorite reds so far (though I have not gotten the new PTI Pure Poppy yet). The stitching is done with my daisyd's rubon tape from Jacksonbelle's store.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far! Thanks for visiting!

Carte-licious Challenge

It's time for the Carte-Licious challenge again, and Melissa provided the cute images this time around. The cupcake is from the Hero Arts Sparkle Clear Cupcakes set, and is stamped with StazOn Jet Black onto Whisper White. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch markers (not recommended because it usually bleeds). I needed a birthday card, so I used my Happy Birthday sentiment from A Muse Artstamps (available at the Elzybells NA site). I used my SU Chunky Glitter on the frosting. The card stock/patterend paper and ribbon is from PaperTrey Ink. The oval was created using my Petite Scalloped Oval Nestabilities. The Ticket Corner punch and Dew Drops were used for the corners. Please be sure to check out the creations from the other super-talented girls in the group: Sue, and Melissa. (Joan isn't participating in this round). Thanks for the images, Melissa....and for this adorable little card!!

Thanks so much for your visit, and here's the recipe for my card:

Stamps: Clear Sparkle Cupcakes (Hero Arts), Happy Birthday (A Muse Artstamps)
Card Stock: Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet, Pink Patterns (all PaperTrey Ink), Whisper White
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Copic Sketch markers
Accessories: Berry Sorbet Luxe Satin ribbon, Primary Dew Drops, Chunky Glitter, Ticket Corner punch, Petite Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, Crystal Effects, Tombo Mono Multi glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

The bling in the center is one of the new SU Fire Rhinestone Brads.

I have to make this quick, so I'll leave you with the recipe. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Thanks for visiting, and have a nice day!!

I also found my new Fantasy Floral Garden set from Flourishes in my mailbox yesterday. I can hardly wait to try these out! Aren't the images so elegant and beautiful? I love the font styles of the lovely sentiments included in this set as well.

Lastly, my Hero Arts stamps arrived...yay! I am so happy to have found a great place to purchase my HA online. Stampin' Treasures (formerly Stampin' Memories). They were super fast, and very friendly to work with. (I couldn't make up my mind of which of the Holiday birds to get...lol!)

Thanks for stopping by! Yesterday was so busy, I never had the opportunity to stamp like I was planning. With all my new goodies...I sure hope I'll be able to work some time in today to create. *wink*

***ETA: If you have a little time, Alexandra over at California Stampin has a nice tribute to check out.

Beate's Challenge #14

I'm back from my long weekend away, and I needed to make this card right away, so that I can send it out. (I'll post later about my weekend).

I made this using Beate's sketch #14. The designer paper is Webster's Pages Vintage Home "Shenendoah" & "Canopy" (from Jacksonbelle Embellishments). Again...I did not want to cover this gorgeous paper too much, so I left most of it uncovered. The background is stamped tone-on-tone with River Rock using Baroque. The little bird is from the Hero Arts Decorative Birds set, and colored with my Classic Inks and Aqua Painter. The sentiment is Verve Visual Thoughtful Phrases, and punched with my Word Window Punch. The gold brads are SU as well as the Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon.

Thanks for looking, and I will post some pictures from my weekend and a RAK later today.

Stamps: Decorative Birds (Hero Arts), Baroque, Thoughtful Phrases (Verve Visual)
Card Stock: Bordering Blue, River Rock, Watercolor Paper, Vintage Home Webster's Pages; Shenendoah & Canopy
Ink: River Rock, Bordering Blue, So Saffron (the beak), Jet Black StazOn
Accessories: Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Gold Brads, Word Window Punch, Paper Piercer, Aqua Painter

Blogger's Challenge

I made these cards for a blogger's challenge. Adelina, Angel, Bethany, Lori, Tracy, and myself are participating in this.

Angel sent all of us an awesome packet of materials to make a card, and I came up with these two (there was enough to make another as well). Thanks Angel!! The image is quite large, and I wasn't sure what the limitations were for using them (were there any?)

I decided to make a "masculine" card, as well as one for a lady. I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with! Just click on their names above, to see for yourselves.

New Cards...(Finally)

I made a couple of cards...yay!! The first one is for a friend who is going through a rough time right now. I used my new hostess set, Garden Silhouettes. The flowers were stamped with Mellow Moss, and highlighted with my Signo White Gel Pen. I roughed up the edges of the Moss piece with my Cutter Kit.

My second card uses the Hero Arts Decorative Birds, and Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl Sofie designer paper. The large flower eyelet is retired from SU, and I used an A Muse mini dot twinkle sticker for the center (from Ellen's store). The ribbon is May Arts from Jacksonbelle Embellishments.

Thanks for checking out my blog today!

Snail Fluffles Tent Topper

I saw this Stampendous Fluffles stamp at a stamp store, and had to have it. My card today is a Michelle Wooderson Tent Topper. I used BasicGrey Pheobe designer paper, and I think it looks pretty good with the new Wild Wasabi. I used my Aqua painter and re-inkers to color the image. I used a white crayon for the flowers, because I wanted them to look like daisies. The sentiment is Hero Arts Petite Day (found in a small set). I cut a piece of 3/8" Whisper White card stock, and stamped the image. Then I used the SU word window punch to cut one end of it so that I could have a longer word window. My 1/16 circle hand punch made the holes in the scallops of the circle.

Thanks for looking!

Stamps: Snail Fluffles, Petite Day (Hero Arts)
Card Stock: Wild Wasabi, Barely Banana, Shimmery White, Whisper White, Pheobe BasicGrey
