Cards for Guys

Hello everyone! Today I'm showing you a couple of cards I've made with the guys in mind. I always find these particularly difficult, but I think it helps when you have stamps that work for them.

The first card uses some vintage images from Abracadabra (the February Diner's Club Set). I've used the Emboss Resist technique on this one, and I'm liking the different look it gives.

Stamps: Abracadabra Diner's Club Set
Card Stock: Sage Shadow, Early Espresso, Classic Cream
Ink: Rich Cocoa, Antique Linen, Sage Shadow, VersaMark
Accessories: Deckle Scissors, Circle Punch, Houndstooth Embossing Folder, Clear Embossing Powder, Foam Tape

Next up is a card with some fun Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride paper, and my Good Company stamp. I think they work pretty well together, don't you?

Stamps: Good Company Single
Card Stock: Crushed Curry, Black, Joy Ride (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Crushed Curry, More Mustard
Accessories: Oval Nestabilities

Karate

Hello everyone! Today I'm posting a couple of cards that I've made for Lance to give to a couple of his sempai. Lance earned all Red Stripes during his purple belt/black stripe period, so he was offered a private lesson for all of his hard work. He's so excited to be in his brown belt/white stripe, and realizes he will have to work even harder. I think he's ready. ☺

The images are Pure Innocence at MFT.

Stamps: Karate Girl (PI/MFT)
Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Classic Cream, White, Social Club (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Rich Cocoa, Antique Linen, Copic Markers
Accessories: Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Ribbon Banners (Spellbinders), Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Tombo Mono Multi Glue, Foam Tape

Stamps: Karate Boy (PI/MFT)
Card Stock: Lucky Limeade, White, Classic Cream, The Green Stack (DCWV, Inc.)
Ink: Rich Cocoa, Early Espresso, Copic Markers
Accessories: Quatrefoil Cover Plate (PTI), Circle Nestabilities, Tombo Mono Multi Glue, Foam Tape

Snowman and Rain

Hello everyone! It's been a little while, and tho I have not been stamping a lot...I have made a few things. I have not been very good about coming here and posting my creations, so I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things by posting a couple of cards I've made over the past couple of weeks.

First up is a Stick Chick Girl with Snowman. I think she is really cute, and she has more snow than I've seen around here in a while. I'm not complaining at all, but it hasn't felt much like winter.

Stamps: Girl With Snowman (Stick Chicks)
Card Stock: White (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Accessories: Snowflakes Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), Creative Memories Decorative Cutter, Inverted Rectangle Spellbinders, Aqua Mist Ribbon

I was thinking a bit "out of the box" when I made this next design. I don't have any rain papers or background stamps, so I decided to use this Bead Curtain Coveralls stamp to give the look of rain. Stamping with VersaMark Dazzle really made it look even more like rain, and I tried to get a photo of the sparkle in my second image. The sentiment is Two Lovers, and the little umbrella is an EK Success sticker.

Stamps: Two Lovers Single, Bead Curtain Coveralls
Card Stock: Bordering Blue, White
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Bordering Blue, VersaMark Dazzle
Accessories: Fancy Tags (Spellbinders), Ek Success Sticker, Foam Tape

Thanks for visiting, and I'll be back soon with some more recent creations!

Corner Bookmarks

Hello everyone! I've made these corner bookmarks for Gourmet Rubber Stamps Monthly Dish Newsletter. If you're subscribed, you've probably already seen them...and the step-by-step instructions I've written to help you create some of your own. If not, you can click on the link above to bring you where you need to go, to sign up for the newsletter. You'll see the spot on the lower left of the main page.

I don't know about you all, but I tend to read more during the colder seasons. I thought it would be a good time to create some bookmarks to share. I considered adding ribbon, and bling to dress these up a bit, but changed my mind because I wanted to keep the bulk to a minimum. I hope you like them.

Stamps used here: Sealed With a Kiss (Diner's Club Set)
