Hello friends! I haven't been creating many cards lately, but I was inspired when Lance was getting ready to test for his black belt. I've stamped several different karate cards in the past, but this time I wanted to create a shaped card. I thought a gi would be a perfect choice. I searched for a template online, but since I couldn't locate one, I designed one myself. Lance really liked it! I made seven altogether (one for Lance, and the others for his senpais, and sensei).
I've used Gina K. Designs heavy card stock for the gi, and black satin ribbon for the belt. My Scor Buddy was used to create the collar. I couldn't decide how to get it to lay nicely around the back of the neck, so I left it as you see.
Thanks for visiting!

It's Your Day
Hello there! I've made a card for my daughter for her birthday, and thought I would blog it. It's nothing out of my normal type of card, but I thought the image was so adorable, and I wanted to share. It is called "happiness is.." and is a Phyllis Harris & Unity stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're all have a wonderful Easter and spring break with your friends and family.
Hugs,
Rose Ann

In Honor
Hello, friends! I've made a few cards to honor our WWII veterans, and I'm showing them today. My dear friend, Sue, asked if anyone was interested in sending cards for our WWII veterans for the Honor Flight mail call, and I agreed to make some cards.
I didn't have any patriotic stamps that I wanted to use, so I did a search on the internet to find this image called Patriotic Collage, from Impression Obsession. I really LOVED the image, though large collage stamps can be somewhat of a challenge for me to use. I came up with three different ways to use the image so far, and I have some other ideas flowing around in my head as well.
Embossed in Gold
Stamps: Patriotic Collage (IO)
Card Stock: Vintage Cream, River Rock
Ink: Versa-Mark
Accessories: Gold Detail Embossing Powder
Marker to Image (very tricky with such a large image)
Stamps: Patriotic Collage (IO)
Card Stock: White, Pacific Point
Ink: Pacific Point, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray
Worn & Tattered

Stamps: Patriotic Collage (IO)
Card Stock: Vintage Cream, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry
Ink: Antique Linen & Scattered Straw Distress Inks, Soft Suede
Accessories: Distress Tool (SU)
This stamp is a large one, so my cards are ranging from 5 1/2 inches to 6 inches. I don't have envelopes in those sizes, so thank goodness I have the brand new Envelope Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers. This is such an awesome tool, and I'm so glad I purchased it! I made three envelopes that fit my cards perfectly in not much time at all. My husband was even impressed when I demoed how it worked.
This final photo shows some other paper projects I tried recently. The item on the left is something my oldest son showed me how to make. He calls it a Ninja Star. It takes two separate folded pieces, and he tucked them together for me, as I wasn't exactly sure how to.
The item on the right is a "diamond". I found a link to download and print the template over at Pinterest. I would like to make more of these in different colors, 'cause I think they're pretty cool.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Hope to be back soon!

I've paper-pieced the dress, and colored the image with Copic Markers. The pretty rectangles are Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, and the ribbon is Pool Party Seam Binding from SU.
I'll keep this short, and hope you enjoy! ☺

Valentine's, My Friend
Back so soon, you ask? (LOL) I'm trying to get my groove back, and while I'm not super thrilled with my creations, at least I'm stamping. ;)
I have a couple of cards using some of my SU stamps. I've created my own template for the big hearts on my Valentine, as I didn't have a die or punch that worked with it. The sentiment is framed with my Spellbinders Fancy Tags die.
My second card is very CAS, and uses the Grand Labels Twenty-Three dies for the shape.
Thanks for stopping by, and take care!
