Kioshi Monogram Card Kit

I totally love the Kioshi Monogram Card Kit from Taylored Expressions, so I decided to purchase it to use as a gift. I was going to change things up a little bit, but the design was so pretty as it was... I decided not to alter it. It's a fun change of pace to have everything all cut and ready to assemble, and I really enjoyed making these!! This kit includes 10 envelopes, 10 cards, and a great box to store them in.

I have some exciting news to share tomorrow, and I can hardly wait to tell you about it!

Thanks for dropping by!!

If you're doing the Black Friday Hop with Taylored Expressions, you may be interested to see what I've done with my Perfect Package Card Box/Gift Box. (These come in a set of 2, and store approximately 8-12 standard A2 size cards and envelopes.) I've decorated my box to hold my Christmas cards as I make them...using Colorful Christmas patterned papers from My Mind's Eye. The cards inside all use various papers in the collection as well. I've chosen a pattern for my Perfect Package Box that isn't so "Christmasy", so that after the holidays are over..I will be able to continue using this. For the following few days, I will be posting the cards I've made and stored in the box so far.

TECC70

Stamps: Branching Out/Branching Out Coordinates (Whimsical Wishes from Taylored Expressions)
Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Neenah Natural White, Urban Oasis (SU)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand, Copic markers

I thought I would give Taylor's TECC70 sketch a try today. I adore this little owl, and I thought he would look cute on the swing. The tree is from Branching Out, and is paper pieced. I also thought the Scalloped Edge Frame would give a fun and different look to my card.

DD/DDA Challenge

Stamps: A Year of Sweets 1, A Year of Sweets Sentiments
Card Stock: Santuary (Me & My Big Ideas), Neenah Solar White, Yo Yo Yellow
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, Gold Spica Glitter pen
Accessories: Circle & Pinked Circle Nestabilites, Large & Small Oval punches, Gold ribbon, Scotch foam tape

It's the 20th of the month again, and that means it's time for another DD/DDA challenge. I don't always have the opportunity to play along, but this month I was able. :D

Here's the challenge:

Focus: Cards/Poker/Games/Gambling/Luck (or anything loosely related)

Required Element: A card with a special fold (no standard fold allowed)

Restricted Element: No buttons (faux or real)

I knew that I wanted to use my new SASI A Year of Sweets 1 set for my image, so I stamped and colored it right away. That was my big mistake. I had to search and search for some patterned paper that would look "okay" with the coloring I had already finished. Luckily I came across my Sanctuary (Me & My Big Ideas) pad that I purchased from Jacksonbelle Embellishments a while back. I used the Spring Card tutorial (written by Sandy Hulsart) that I found at SCS, for the fun fold.

Here are the wonderful submissions from the others: Here

I have have a busy day ahead of me, so I'd best be going. Thanks for dropping by!!
