Stamp Simply 99

My time as guest designer for Stamp Simply is now over, but I just had to play along this weeks' challenge anyhow. ssnotime99 That's What Friends are For: We are supposed to make a card for a friend, and we must include the word "friend" on the card front. I wanted to try out this week's fabulous Stair Step fold tutorial by Beate at Splitcoaststampers. I so love her wonderful videos she's been making as well!!

For this card, I used some beautiful paper called grove, from Memory Box. The butterfly and sentiment are from au naturale, which is one of the products of the week at LAD. The butterfly is stamped twice with one of them trimmed and mounted with foam tape to give lots of dimension. I also punched a small butterfly with my Martha Stewart punch to add a little to the sentiment. The paper is so pretty, I didn't want to cover it up much.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Happpy weekend!!

Scor-Pal Review @ Splitcoaststampers

I don't have anything crafty for you to see today, but I wanted to mention about the Scor-Pal review by the Product Review Team over at Splitcoaststampers. The team reviewed the Scor-Pal, Scor-Mat, Scor-Tape, and new Scor-Bug (available in April). If you've been trying to decide if you need any of these items, you may want to check the review. Afterwards, check out the Scor-Pal gallery to see some wonderful projects.

I didn't do the review this time around, but I have to say...my Scor-Pal, Mat, and Tape stay right in my work space all of the time! I use my Scor-Pal for EVERY card I make, even though I don't always list it in my "recipies".

**Update** There is a Metric version of the Scor-Pal coming out in June!! Read all about it here in the SCS Scor-Pal forum.

Take care, and I hope you have a lovely weekend!! Thanks for your visit!!

Get Well Triangle Tri-Fold

Stamps: 10 Designer Centers and Borders (1 5/8" JustRite Monogram stamps)
Card Stock: Regal Rose, Spring Rain, Neenah Solar White, Urban Prairie (BasicGrey pad)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, Clear Spica Glitter pen
Accessories: Scor-Pal, Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Paper Piercer and template, A Muse sheer ribbon, Scotch Foam Tape

It's been forever since I made a Triangle Tri-fold (Beate's tutorial here). I thought I'd use this special fold along with the pretty Urban Prairie papers, to cheer up a friend who needs some cheering. I also used my JustRite Centers and Borders that I picked up from Taylored Expressions. The pretty sheer ribbon is A Muse. These cards are so fun to make, and can be pretty quick if you have a Scor-Pal.

I'm Back!!

Online, that is. I didn't have internet for more than a day because the cable went out. You don't realize how much you depend on being connected...until you lose it.

Scor-Pal's February/March online magazine has been posted, and I have a few projects included. Here's one of them:
