My first tin label was stamped (kissed with Aida Cloth) to resemble an old-fashioned fishing bag (is that what they're called?). I used my new Chocolate Chip Polytwill ribbon (SU) for the "straps", and Hodgepodge Hardware (SU) for the buckle. The fish on my gift tag is from the retired "Fishin'" set. My tin is more of a gift box, as it wouldn't really be all that practical for taking along fishing. If I had used the water-proof labels found at Gina's store it could have been used for miscellaneous small fishing items. My original idea was fishing hooks, weights, small lures, and a Leatherman® Micra™ tool. How many times have you snagged your line on something, and had to cut the line? Who wants to bring along a whole tackle box, when you could easily bring a small tin along?

My second tin is not such an original idea, but it's something I needed for my son. He's lost two teeth already, and currently has a couple more that are quite loose. We'll feel much better leaving his teeth in this safe little box. The little tooth was drawn freehand, and trimmed out.

I need to work on some cards, so I will have to update the links and recipe a bit later. If you have questions, just let me know.

Both of the tins are fabulous! The fishing box term you are lookingi for is *creel* - looks kind of like a wicker purse, right?
Awesome tins, Rose Ann. They were both fantastic, butI LOVE the look of that fishing tin. Do you really fish? You sure sounded like it. I can tell you how many times I snagged my fishing line on something. Big fat ZERO! LOL
Hugs and grin
Hi Girl! I swear this fishing tine looks just like the real thing. What a precious gift to give to a little guy who might go fishing with his dad. Love the adida cloth idea too :)
These little tins are fantabulous - the tooth fairy sentiment is too funny.
These tins are great, love the tooth one and the fishing one is so cool.
Cute ideas, especially for fishing. I love to see what can be done with tins. My boss even knows I like empty tins and saves them for me. LOL

Oh, what a fantastic idea for the tooth tin!! My daughter has lost 2 already and the first one got REALLY lost when it was in a loose container overnight.... a tin would have been perfect!! I'm going to make one of these ASAP while she works on those loose teeth! Thanks for the idea!!!!
Wow! Such nice, masculine tins! I love the effect you got with the aida cloth stamp on the fishing one.
My goodness these tins are adorable! Great one for the toothfairy!

Oh my goodness! I love that little fishing tin! I need to make a tooth tin also for Jolee. Her very first tooth is about ready to fall out! I can't believe how big she is getting!
Oh they are both awesome!! Love the fish tackle one! WOW!!!
Cute tins! I LOVE the fish!
Rose Ann, I love the strap idea on your first tin! That would make a super gift box for any kind of fishing supplies. The tooth tin is something that makes me wish I was a stamper when my son was little. I still have his first tooth, of course. I guess it's not too late...your tin is darling!
I LOVE these! Both are too cute!
love the fish tin! and the tooth tin is cute too! great ideas!
these are very cool! awesome, as usual!!
Sorry I am just now getting to this, (what a week!) These are fantastic Rose Ann! I HEART your Mini tackle box (I'll have to check out the micra tool, we have a larger one(too big for a tin), they are great!)
HUGS!
They are gorgeous tins, I really love the tooth tin, probably because we could still use one here! My youngest has only lost 2 teeth also!
Such fun tins! My Fav. is definitely the tooth one. I made my daughter a velvet pillow, with a gold star cloth pouch in the front, but for my son when he is older, I will definitely use this idea!
GREAT tins! Love the "leave money here"... Too cute!
How very cool, Rose Ann! I especially love the fishing tackle tin!
