Like Day & Night...

...is what these cards are. I wanted to use my new Grow With Love Simply Single stamp, and I wanted it to be really soft and muted. I ended up using the most recent additions to the Copic marker colors (If you're having a hard time finding them, my friends over at Eclectic Paperie may still have some--well...at least they did last I checked), and a piece of patterned paper from my 6 x 6 Aerial (Memory Box) paper. The gorgeous ribbon is from Sharon's Stamp Simply Store. (After I cut the ends of the ribbon, it realized it resembled a butterfly).

Stamps: Grow With Love (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Aerial (Memory Box), White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers (the new colors)
Accessories: Corner Rounder Punch, Paper piercer and Template, Scotch Foam Tape, Silk Ribbon

Stamps: Birthday Basics (PTI), Friends 24-7 (SU)
Card Stock: Bravo Burgundy, Soft Suede, Naturals Ivory
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Scattered Straw Distress Ink
Accessories: Modern Label Punch, 1/2 " Circle Punch, Basic Jumbo Grommet, Rain Dot, 5/8 inch Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain ribbon, Stix2 Ultra Clear Tape, Cutter Kit

This card is made with a tag I removed from a shirt I bought my DH recently. I thought the tag was way too pretty to throw away...so I made it into a card. The birthday sentiment and ribbon/grommet treatment hide the original writing on the tag. I didn't alter the tag in any other way...I just built around it. The sentiment is from Birthday Basics (PTI), and the little fragment of damask I stamped for the Rain Dot is from an image in the Friends 24-7 set (SU).

Thanks so much for visiting today!!

Your first card is so soft and lovely - love those new colors and the paper piercing! And I love how you used that tag instead of throwing it away - it turned out really nice!

Sometimes it's nice to do something completely opposite. The first one is soft and sweet. And I love how you converted that tag into a card. Really rich looking, and the grommet looks great.

Awesome cards Rose Ann! I love the long cards. I forget to use my corner rounder. Love how you did that on the first card.

Oh, my goodness, it does resemble a butterfly! Perfect with your flowers and so cute! I love the card! Also the tag is truly beautiful. No wonder you couldn't throw it away. That must have been some special shirt to sport a tag like this one!
