Ellen's Challenge

This card is for Ellen's Challenge that she's running at her blog right now. We are to choose one of nine layouts of the projects she has posted since July 1st, and use a Lockhart Stamp in the design. This "Sunflowers in Summer" card is the design layout card I chose. My card is more of a CASE than anything else, but it was quite a challenge!

My Marvy Uchida scalloped circle punch cannot reach very far into the card, so I had to use my Fiskars Scallop Paper Edgers for the scalloped circle (ask me how easy that was...ha, ha). It would have been almost effortless with the new Spellbinders Scalloped Circles that Ellen will be offering at her store soon. My other challenge was piercing the swirl designs. I don't own any of the Ornare templates, (hopefully I will be able to get one Friday during Ellen's big sale) so I used the only template I have with something that could pass for a swirl. I used my retired Bodacious Bouquet Classy Brass template from SU.

Thanks for looking!

Stamps: Strawberries-Lockhart Stamp Co.
Card Stock: White PaperTrey
Ink: Palette Noir
Accessories: Fiskars Scallop Paper Edgers, Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol, Bodacious Boquet Classy Brass & Piercing Tool, Stardust Pen, May Arts Ribbon

WOW! I can't believe you cut that circle by hand...I could never do that...unless you wanted the look of a lopsided circle! Gorgeous!

This is so sweet & pretty! I still don't have any Lockhart stamps, I've resisted - but man, they look like so much fun to color! Maybe this Friday with Ellen's sale I'll have to cave...
