After I received my newsletter from SCS, I had to try Ellen's technique that is spotlighted. I don't have the proper tools, so I just made do with what I had. This card is for my Mother-In-Law, whose birthday is Saturday. I used Lavender Lace for the card, and Card StockVellum for the image. My embossing stylus is really to large for this technique, but for the first try...I don't think it's too bad. I used my piercing tool for fine detail, but I don't really think it did a whole lot. My embossing pad was a mouse pad turned upside down (It's actually black on the reverse side). I used my Coluzzle to make to make the "window". To color the image, I used my Pure Color and Metallic Pencils with Gamsol. The sentiment is from CTMH, purchased from Mary Ann. May Arts Ribbon is from StarLitStudio. The Fiskars border lace punch is from a gift I received from some stamping friends of mine (thanks guys!). I think I need to go shopping at Ellen's Store for some proper tools. She has it all there.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!!

Looks gorgeous to me. Hard to imagine you were improvising.
Gorgeous, and a nice job improvising! Love that lacy punched edge, too!
