On Gossamer Wings Trifold

I made this for the TLC108 challenge at Splitcoaststampers today. We were required to use only browns and cream without using a coffee or chocolate theme.

I decided to make another of Beate's great tri-fold cards, because they're just too much fun! The card stock I chose is SU Confetti Cream, and Chocolate Chip. The designer paper is from BasicGrey's LilyKate collection. The butterfly is from the SU set On Gossamer Wings, and is stamped in chocolate chip classic ink, then colored with Pure Color Pencils, and blended using a paper stump and Gamsol. I added some sparkle to it with a Gelly Roll pen, but it doesn't really show up in the picture. After cutting the butterfly out carefully, I scored along the body of the butterfly...and curved the wings up a bit so that the butterfly stood out for a more realistic effect. On the stitching I used linen thread, and tied the whole card closed with natural hemp (both SU). The charm was purchased from StarLitStudio quite a while ago (I'm not sure if Cindy still carries them).
