It's Blog Candy Time!

I ended up with two of these Big Impressions Starter Kits for the Ellison Big Shot (Big Oops). Now you can have a chance to win one of your own in my very first Blog Candy giveaway. I'm not sure if this will work with other machines, so you may want to do some research before you play. ;)

I'd like to get you 'know' you better, and perhaps see who's checking my blog out. Just leave a comment and tell me a little about yourself...where you're from, what you love about paper crafts...etc., or other tidbits you'd like to share. I will be drawing a name at random on Monday(19th) evening.

Good luck!!

EDIT TO ADD:

Okay...I started thinking that it would be nice to have a 'runner up' prize that isn't Big Shot related so that EVERYONE can play if they want. The runner up prize will be a grab bag of cool items I have...but it will be a surprise. Please let me know in your comment, if you want to be put into the runner up drawing only. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for helping me create.

Hello there...I am Allison from Calgary, AB, Canada. I am a WAHM of two (but the work has been very thin of late since my hard drive died...work is sending it back Monday...oh no!). I have only made cards to this point and love it. I am looking forward to spring so I can get outside with the kids so we can all "get our beans out!"...cheers!

Hi Rose Ann

My name is Terry Molineux and I live in New York on the South Shore of Long Island. I grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Long Island in 1965. I love it here except it is getting harder and harder to make ends meet so in the very near future we may have to relocate.

I first fell in love with stampin in 1999 when I broke both my feet in an accident on my stoop. A very dear friend of mine made me a scrapbook of all the bears I own and used a Boyds Bear stamp and fell in love at first sight. I had asked her how she did it...she also used a corner rounder....which added an extra touch to the page....what did I know I didn't know anything about stamps or punches....

I joined a scrapbooking group and there was a SU demo there I purchased a few things (in two years about $7,000 in products) and never used a thing! This demo never had classes to teach...

After two years of collecting I was on one of the stamping groups and someone sent me an email that she lived very close to me and had classes....well I was hooked and of course spent more money than GOD and finally decided hey at least get a discount out of this....

I went to my upline's house for a group meeting and that's when I really decided I wanted to this business to work for me to make money not just a discount....

and here I am.....cruising the blogs to get more ideas...

Thanks so much for sharing!

My name is Diane (aka doverdi)and I live in S. Ontario. I started scrapbooking in 2004 after an auto accident left me unable to work. I figured it would help keep my mind occupied. After a year of scrapping, I joined a stamp group to get ideas to add to my scrapbook pages (I had no intentions on becoming a stamper too!). Needless to say, I became hooked and now I rarely scrapbook. lol I love all types of paper crafts - paper embroidery, creating mini books, altering things, etc. I love blogs because there is so much inspiration to be gained from them. I have decided to go with the Big Shot rather than the cuttlebug because of info I have learned from blogs. (Supposedly it's better for those who have shoulder injuries or problems.) I can't wait to purchase one! Thanks for sharing.

my name is Susan and I love along Lake Erie's shorelilne in Ohio. It's a great little bedroom community where we all know each other, one way or another. I have 5 kids all married now, and the 10th grand is on the way. My husband is perfect and I've been married to him for almost 35 years.

I love to stamp but always like the challenge of stamping on something that doesn't have to be a card. I'm still mastering the idea of layering...I always seem to forget. But I love going to my SU demo's classes. Yesterday I learned all the various ways to use PearlEx. Now that was fun!

All of these blogs are so inspiring, keep up the great work!

Hello,
I am Shelley. My life is very blessed. We just adopted our two one year old foster babies that we have had since birth. I feel like I am a broken record about Eliza and Joel. They are our 6&7th children. I am originally from Seattle, transplanted to Toledo, Ohio.
I love stamping and do not scrap. I will stamp anything that is not tied down. I have been stamping for 20 years. I originally bought stamps to stamp my kids lunch bags.
Who would have thought? I now have a whole room dedicated to my obsession.

Hello!
Dawn, a Buckeye that was transplanted to Wolverine Country. But I am surviving. I started stamping after getting some of my grandmother's crafting supplies after she passed away. I really got into it so I always think that she was the one who introduced me to it...even though we never even stamped together.

I like making little things for my stamping friends. It's fun to choose colors/styles based on their own styles.

My name is Melissa, and I live in SW Illinios. We are a military family, so who knows for how long we will be here! LOL! I have been a Stampin' Up! demo for nearly six years, love it, but moving makes it hard to keep it going as a business. :) I love browsing stamping blogs and SCS! I love the immediacy (sp?) of stamping, as I can create a card (from scratch without CASEing) in an hour or so (when I'm on a streak!) Or CASE from someone I admire, whereas my cross stich took forever and I gave up crochet years ago!

Stamping is for all of us wanna be artists. I can color, paint and do lots of techniques but they weren't very impressive done with "stick people',, the only thing I could draw ;) and then not so well,,, thank God for rubberstamps.
I am linda yamakido and I live in sunny southern california and have been stamping for 15 years

Hi - I'm Kathy. I live in OH right now, but will soon be transplanted to OK. I always thought I was craft challenged until I went to a Stampin Up party. I thought, "I can do that." And I could! That was 11 years ago. I am doing scrapbooks, now, too. Who woulda thunk? I love every bit of it!

Hi, I'm Heather, I live in Logan, Utah. Yes, cannot beat all the scrapbooking and crafting going on in this state. I started stamping about 6 years ago when I lived in Indiana. I was introduced to it by my sister who lived in Kentucky at the time. I'm a Stay-at-home mom of 3 kids, all under the age of 5. I'm currently addicted to reading blogs and wishing I had more time to stamp.

Thanks for letting me view your projects.

Luckily, we often have participating teams in them.Even our local CC has national ranked teams! My kids are all gone now, and the youngest is getting Married in APril in IOwa. The two oldest just bought or are buying homes and my granddaughter is graduation HS this June. I have amini zoo and am looking to add to it soon. Hubby works for GM and is often out of the country which is when I am most productive on anything. I dont feel like I have to be quiet at 3 AM or be on his schedule. I am a runner and strict vegetarian and have lived with Fibromyalgia for 20 years. My big job for this spring is a new roof, a new garage door and to finish scrapping the glue off the walls from the old wallpaper. But need to get the wedding out of the way, so son can have wife worry about him and let me off the hook a bit!
