Sympathy
I needed a sympathy card for my niece (in-law) who lost her paternal grandmother over the weekend, but didn't want something too elaborate. I remembered Julie Ebersoles' (JulieHRR) sketch challenge from January (which I didn't do until now), and thought it would be perfect. The card-stock/envelope is from Fabriano (I purchased from StarLitStudio's eBay store). The stamp set is Close As A Memory from SU, and the inks and organdy ribbon are from SU as well. I made a square frame, and sponged in the bashful blue. I inked up the flower stamp with stampin' write markers in almost amethyst, and certainly celery...huffed and stamped. The sentiment is stamped in almost amethyst. I used a so saffron marker to color in the centers of the flowers as an after-thought, then tied an ivory narrow organdy ribbon around the card for the finishing touch.
