Stamp Simply 99

My time as guest designer for Stamp Simply is now over, but I just had to play along this weeks' challenge anyhow. ssnotime99 That's What Friends are For: We are supposed to make a card for a friend, and we must include the word "friend" on the card front. I wanted to try out this week's fabulous Stair Step fold tutorial by Beate at Splitcoaststampers. I so love her wonderful videos she's been making as well!!

For this card, I used some beautiful paper called grove, from Memory Box. The butterfly and sentiment are from au naturale, which is one of the products of the week at LAD. The butterfly is stamped twice with one of them trimmed and mounted with foam tape to give lots of dimension. I also punched a small butterfly with my Martha Stewart punch to add a little to the sentiment. The paper is so pretty, I didn't want to cover it up much.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Happpy weekend!!

Thanks for visiting!

It's beautiful! I made a stair step card for a class I was doing but I really like this one better. Simple yet elegant.

Actually one more comment...this set is what started it all for me. I never heard of SCS or blogging before I ordered this LAD set from ATRS...then I won a design challenge, using this stamp set, after finding the SCS thread for LAD, won more stamps, and then it went viral for me! I guess I need to thank those girls!!!
