Peace on Earth

Hello stamping friends. I have created a card using my Stick Chicks Girl Angel with Trumpet, and sentiment from Holiday Script. The papers are Jolly by Golly. I've also used some of my Spellbinders dies to cut the different shapes. The Reverse Wonky Rectangles do not have as sizes so closely together, so I used my Layer Ease for the matting on that shape. The colors are a bit off, and I'm wondering if any of you have any tips for getting the correct color shades in photographs (or what needs adjusting in my editing software). Any help will be appreciated. ;)

Stamps: Girl Angel with Trumpet (Stick Chicks), Holiday Script (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: Crushed Curry, Ocean Tides, White, Vellum, Jolly by Golly (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Tuxedo Black, Crushed Curry, Copic Markers, Spica Glitter Pens
Accessories: Spellbinders Dies, Vellum Glue Dots, Layer Ease, Sheer Ribbon, Foam Tape
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for visiting!

I miss your posts! This is really cute. I try to photograph in as much natural light as I can. Then if needed, I adjust the brightness or shadows. But there's just nothing like natural light. Cloudy days are best.

Rose Ann, this is so sweet!!! I have trouble with colours in photos too. Typically when green is involved. Not sure how to go about fixing it so much.

Have a fabulous, creative day, Debxx

What a sweet card, Rose Ann! I especially love the shading inside your mat! It's perfect!

As for color correcting tips, I agree that natural light is best, but I often have trouble getting the colors just right, too.

I use Photoshop Elements and just kinda play around with the "decrease green, increase green (or any other color there in the selection) to see if that helps. I slide my scale of how much to increase/decrease way down and do just a bit at a time. Sometimes if I feel that doesn't help, or get it just right, I adjust hue/saturation. I'm just floundering around - I have no hard and fast rules. I really should take a class on how to better utilize my program!

Your cards look great to us...but then again I know how frustrating it is when you are looking at the original and it doesn't look the same on the screen.

I invested in an Ott Lite forevah ago and won't go back. I just use Picasa and it seems to do the job for any probs! This paper is hard to photograph though (I own it too!) so don't feel bad! Cheers!
