JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes Event

The weather held out for us all, and the event went by without a hitch! Here is Team Blue Eyes towards the beginning of the three mile walk. My eager kids are leading the pack...lol! You can see Jackson sitting on shoulders above the rest. We joined Jackson and his family as part of the team, but there were actually three Type 1 diabetics walking. There were also some Type 2 diabetics on the team, but I'm unsure of how many.

Here's a photo of Lance attempting the rock wall. He did pretty well, despite the fact that he wore his short boots. ;) There were a lot of fun things for the kids to do besides the wall. They particularly enjoyed the Moonwalk, and Moonwalk Slide.

The kids are enjoying their yummy lunches. The three children sitting against the back wall are T1 diabetics. They had to test their glucose, count their carbs, and have their insulin before they could devour. Aren't they adorable?

A big THANK YOU to those of you who've supported the walk, and are helping to find a cure!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope your week is off to a great start!

Thanks for visiting!
