Hi everyone! We had company yesterday, so I never got around to making anything crafty. But...I have this sweet photo of Romeo to share. He is a 4-5 year old Shetland Sheepdog who never knew the inside of a house before he was rescued. I'm not sure of his whole background...only that his previous owners were overrun with dogs. They didn't keep the dogs up to date on shots or vet visits, so Romeo currently has some health issues to overcome. He is doing very well, though...and is warming right up to the family. It feels so great to give an unfortunate dog another chance at a wonderful life!! The kids already adore him! He is a bit shy, and loves to have the security of the crate you see in the picture. He also loves to have his head scratched, and will nudge your hand if you stop. ; )

Oh, he's SOOOOO CUTE!! I've never owned a Sheltie, but I think they're adorable. Definitely one of my favorites. Love his name too.

Awww...he's adorable! I see a theme going on here :) He looks a lot like Shadow. That's so sweet and I'm glad the kids like him. I'm sure he'll grow out of his shyness very soon with such a warm and caring family.

Oh Rose Ann, he is so sweet! I am a firm believer in rescuing homeless animals and I think this is such a wonderful thing you are doing. And in return he will be wonderful too. I'm all teary eyed now...give him a head scratch for me!

Rose Ann, he's beautiful! Kudos to you for taking him in. So many want a new puppy that sometimes the others get "left behind". My guys love their crates! When they want time to rest and relax, they run and get in their "homes". I wish you many happy years with your new companion. Romeo, what a perfect name!

Enjoy your wonderful rescue. Seven years ago I rescued a Yorkie after she had been breed stock for a pet shop for more than 3&1/2 years..What love and pleasure she has brought. I named her Mollie but always tell her I should have named her shadow, as she never leaves my side.
