Happy Birthday DH!!

I needed a birthday card for my husband, so I pulled out my "In the Treetop" set from Lizzie Anne Designs. I thought I could pull off a more masculine card with this set....and what do you think? I soooo wanted to use some little colorful flowers on my tree, and a ribbon to match, but I didn't think Rick would appreciate it all that much. I think this will do, though.

I used LAD_WC21 for my layout. The polka dot card stock is 4 Bar Note-Kitchen Green note cards from A Muse. The treetop was stamped an extra time to mount on dimensionals. The sentiment is from Once Upon a Time (I LOVE this font). The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Polytwill.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!!

Stamps: In the Treetop, Once Upon a Time (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Card Stock: 4 Bar Notes- Kitchen Green ( A Muse),
Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Old Olive, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Word Window punch, Chocolate Chip Polytwill ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

I think it's a WONDERFUL card! I LOVE the faux stitching. . .is that faux stitching or is it stamped? Very cool!

I think this set is so cool, and rather unique. Great job keeping it a "guy" card. I really like the zig zag ground.

This is a wonderful masculine card! I absolutely love what you did with the tree and I think the poly twill is great for a hubby card, as well (I'm really liking the polytwills and hope they will be offered some more)! April is a great month for birthdays my hubby's is the 15th and mine is the 21st! Hope you have an awesome week!

I think this is a wonderful masculine card...I made a card for a male friend, which will be posted later...and it really is a little swirly for him, but the stamp reminded me of him...I hope he won't be too offended. Happy Birthday to your DH !

Great card for your dh, Rose Ann! I love the way you cut out the tree branches and popped them up. It is hard to restrain ourselves when it comes to embellishments isn't it? I think you toned it down just the right amount.

Honestly, what is wrong with men? How can they not appreciate all the bling we like to throw in. You did great though in keeping it simple and masculine. Great restraint too, No matter how hard I try to avoid bling for my husband, I always find my hand inching towards the stickles and ribbons lol.
