What's In Your Tin?

I am so very honored that Melanie Muenchinger asked if I would be interested in using her new "What's in your tin 1" set to make some projects!! Of course!!! She set me the set, and this adorable card as well!! Thank you Melanie!!!! I have "What's in your tin 2" on order, and I am going to have so much fun working these sets together (and with lots of other stamps as well)!

You may find Melanie's sets, and the tins at Gina K. Designs.

Here's Melanie's adorable card using her "Just So Hoppy" set.

My first project is for my oldest son (who does have the Chickenpox, by the way). Anyhow, I asked what he would like to store in his little tin. He decided he wanted to store the shark teeth my sister found for him on the beaches of Florida. (She is vacationing there now, and promised to get him more). I thought the pine branches on this BasicGrey Fruitcake paper looked a bit like seaweed (who knew Christmas paper would work for this?) I used the reverse side of the paper for the top, and Amuse Twinkle stickers for the bling.

I mounted the teeth on a piece of acetate with Mini Glue Dots, so you can still enjoy the "seaweed". When my sister returns with more teeth, I will mount those on another piece of acetate, and layer them up. Zach loves his tin!!

I've decorated a tin for my almost seven year old as well, and will post that another time.

Thanks for stopping by!!

How cool is that!!!!! I love the idea of holding sharks teeth in the decorated tin. We have many sharks teeth here that we've found over the years from vacationing in Myrtle Beach SC. and they are so cool!! My uncle is a shark tooth collector and has millions! Anyways, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your little tin today, Rose Ann! Awesome project!!
Have a great day & hugs to you and your family!

Cool way to store his precious shark teeth collection. How neat that you made this for him! I'm sorry to hear he came down with the chicken pox. I hope it isn't too severe.
