It's time for the Carte-licious challenge again. Sue, Joan, Melissa, and I have been doing these challenges for a while now. It was Sue's turn to send the images this time, and she chose this awesome apple crate image from the For Father set (in the SU Occasions Mini). She stamped the image with StazOn Jet Black onto Cryogen White card stock. I colored the image with my Copic Sketch markers, and managed to keep the "bleeding" of the StazOn to a minimal.
I saw this color combo somewhere (for the life of me...I can't remember), but I loved it. I used More Mustard for the base. The Apricot Appeal is embossed with my Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug Folder and Big Shot. The patterned paper is from my 6 x 6 BasicGrey Mellow paper. The ribbon is 5/8" Old Olive grosgrain from SU. I used my Photo Corner punch for the upper left corner of the image, and added Vintage brads to it. The same brads are also used in the lower right corner. Everything here is pretty straight-forward...so I'll just leave you with the recipe.

Wow! This is just gorgeous! Your coloring is amazing! I played with some copics at my friends house the other day and I have to say I don't get them. How did you learn to color so beautifully with them? Do you color directly on the image with the sketch markers or pick up the color with something else?
