Lockhart Packages

I saw the cutest card at Jenn Balcer's site, and decided to try making one my own using this fun fold.

I thought the Lockhart Packages would be a nice image for this little card. They were stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black ink, and colored with my Copic Sketch markers. I later added some sparkle with the Clear Spica pen. I used my Nestabilities and Big Shot to cut the image, and for the scalloped Old Olive mat. The dotted paper is from the SU Old Olive Prints Collection. The ribbon is May Arts. I used my Coluzzle Cutting System to cut the curved edge on my Ruby Red card stock. For the closure, I used those handy little magnetic snaps from BasicGrey.

This adorable little snowman card was CASE'd directly from the SU holiday mini catalog. My DH's brother, and his wife and daughter came over on Sunday. I had to think of something fun for the ladies to do, while the guys were out working on the car. What's more fun than stamping...right? I needed a quick and simple card, and this one was a winner! I cut everything up within a matter of a few minutes, and had it all set up when they got to our home. They had enough materials to make 4-5 cards each, using all the cute images in the Merry & Bright set. We had a great time, and I was able to teach them how to use dye inks and the Aqua Painter to color line images. (I wish I would have gotten a picture of all of their finished cards before they left, but I didn't think to grab the camera).

Thanks for visiting!
