Lizzie Anne Turkey

Here's my card for the weekly Lizzie Anne Designs challenge at Splitcoaststampers. Why such a mixture of papers here, you ask?? It's because we were challenged to use up some of our scraps using this layout:

Instead of using my Paper Piecing punch, I decided to use my Small Oval punch because I thought it resembled the feathers in the cute turkey (image from Celebrations). To make the ovals look a bit more like feathers, I stamped them with my tree stamp from Christmas In The City. The sentiment is from Celebrations Sayings. The mixture of scraps is from my SU Apple Cider paper, and BasicGrey Mellow & Pheobe papers.

Thanks for your visit!!

Stamps: Celebrations, Celebrations Sayings, Christmas In The City
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Apple Cider (SU), Mellow & Pheobe (BasicGrey)
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber, Really Rust, Copic Sketch markers, Clear Spica pen
Accessories: Punches--Small Oval, 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 " Circle punches, Scallop Circle punch, Stampin' Sponges & Dimensionals

Love your interpretation of the sketch, the ovals work so well. It looks like a lovely country, patchwork quilt, so beautiful!
