SCS Color Challenge

I saw the Splitcoast Color Challenge all over my favorite blogs a couple of days ago, and I loved it so much...I had to use it here.

This is my first time using the 5/8 grosgrain, and I had a little trouble tying it. I guess I just need more practice. The pretty image is from the SU Holiday Mini, and is called Stem Silhouettes. I used my Chocolate Chip S&W marker to ink the stems, and a paintbrush to ink the "berries" or flowers (what ever they are...does anyone know?) The brads are from the Vintage collection. I wanted an elegant sentiment, so I chose the Flourished Words set from Flourishes, LLC to combine the words to make "For You".

Stamps: Stem Silhouettes, Flourished Words (Flourishes, LLC)
Card Stock: Sahara Sand, Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou
Accessories: 5/8 Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Vintage Brads, Crafter's Tool Kit, Paint Brush

When SU has a promotion, I usually like to attempt to make the samples they advertise. Here are the samples for the Punch a Bunch promotion.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!!

Rose Ann, this is amazing! It's so graphically strong. Every element on it seems purposeful. Not trying to sound like I "know" graphic design, because I don't. Just don't know how else to say it. Awesome!
