My favorite type of card is simple clean designs. In fact my two favorite cards of yours are: Simple Chocolate Daisy Card on 7/24(I must get the tool that creats those daisies!!!!) and Singe Layer Challenge on 8/4 (I love the ribbon and lighthouse!).

Oh, fun! I love just about any type of card. I do tend to layer and use embellishments so I guess I would have to say that I like those the best.

Oooh! What SWEET candy! I guess it just depends on what mood I'm in! I really appreciate the simple cards. Sometimes they are even more challenging to create. Other times I am awed by complex and intricate - fully embellished cards. :)

Yummy...sign me up! I like simpler cards with only a few embellishments. Of course, maybe if I try to do too much, it looks like a big ol' mess! Cheers you rockstar!

Wahoo! What awesome blog candy. You've got a fantastic blog that I love to check daily.

I'm actually sort of moody about my cards. Some days I'm all about the clean and simple cards, but other days I'm diggin' those layered up cards.

Wow! 25,000 hits is phenomenal, congratulations on such a successful blog!

My personal favorite type of card is a simple card with layers. I don't need a ton of embellishments, but I love the layered look.

I like cards with simple clean lines but I find myself using more embellishments than in the past. Your cards are beautiful and I enjoy your blog.

This card is amazing! I have this set too and I just LOVE it. I love embellished/layered cards and wish to make those, but my cards end up always simple. I think I'm just afraid to take it to the next level!! I'm fear I'll screw it up! I'm trying to learn to go for it :)

Hello! I like to make simple cards and I like to receive cards with lots of layers and embellishments! See, I'm mostly a scrapbooker and I TRY to do cards, but I can't make the fancy ones look very good. So I go for the simple ones!
Thanks!

I think I also depend on my mood. THere are times when I turn out nothing but simple, and I love it. THen there are those times when I want layers and paper piecing and embossing and all that jazz! I just love making cards.....

I prefer simple cards with classic lines and great color combinations. Also I am a fan of monochromatic cards. I love the card you posted for the one layer challenge. And this card is so pretty with such a neat stamp set (Lizzie Anne Designs is on my wish list). Thanks for the chance to win a certificate to Lindsey's store!

For a while I was really liking lots of embellishments. But I've noticed lately that I'm more drawn to the simple/clean design. I guess my tastes change constantly?!

jodene said...

Great giveaway. I like a card with lots of layers. Although I myself have a hard time doing this. I love seeing others.

Lucky #18?? Love the card Rose Ann!! My favorite card (or should I say most frequent type) is pretty clean and simple. I don't seem to have the "dirty" gene! LOL! :) Thanks for the contest and congrats on the hits!

25,000 hits is awesome! Congrats! I'm really digging one layer simple cards these days, but I still can't stop buying designer paper!

Amy said...

It totally depends on who I am making the card for. I definitely have relatives who are the lush and layered card type and relatives who are the simple and cute card type. I most enjoy trying new things, regardless of the style!

Congrats on the 25K hits and thanks for the blog candy!

Megan said...

Woo hoo - $25 would buy a lot of great stuff at Jacksonbelle Embellishments! :)

My favorite kind of card changes all the time, but it's currently pretty simple - a few layers, a stamp or two, and a bit of ribbon.

Cheryl said...

Congrats on the hits. Great job. Anyhow, I really like the fancy cards, but when I try to make one, my card ends up plain. I just can't get the hang of making the fancy ones not look all messed up. I appreciate every one elses work tho.

Congratualtions! My favorite type of card is more simple. Although I really like ones with more layers, I don't make them that often because I do prefer the clean lines. Thanks so much for the goodies!

Cindy Vernon said...

I like both styles but I think that I prefer clean lines, it just looks so much more elegant.

Nancy said...

I really enjoy peeking in on your blog with my Google Reader tells me that there is something new to see....

I prefer cards that are more simple... a few layers, an embellishment or two... nothing too fancy or time consuming.

I like to call the style "simple elegance"

Peggy Maier said...

Great blog candy! And, great card. My favorite type of cards usually have several layers & I love that look, but the ones I make are usually plainer & simpler. Everyone loves them, but I sure wish I could make some of the other kind once in a while! Ah, well, I guess it just takes practice!

Anonymous said...

I think my style is middle of the road - depends on my time constraints and also who the card is for.

I guess I like both - I tend to use more clean, simple lines - but I love to embellish (especially if it requires using dimensionals! Love our "blogging friendship!" Your site is the best!

Dottie K. said...

I go back and forth - love them both. I do like dimensionals on a card. Wow congratulations on 25,000 hits. That's exciting news. Love the card - simply beautiful. Always enjoy your blog. :)

I love simple cards, my favorite are made without layers, but whenever I try them they don't come out very well, but I keep trying.

Kelly said...

What awesome blog candy. You've got a awesome blog that I love to check daily.

mathstamp said...

Cool! I tend to make simple cards, because I don't seem to have the 'eye' to make lots of different embellishments and layers look good. But, I do like to see the fancy cards that other people make. Thanks!

Pattyjo said...

Great blog! I actually like them either way, because simple is beautiful and so is the layered. It depends on the card maker, but I guess when I make cards I'm more of a layered with lots of embellishments.
Thank you for the chance!

Anonymous said...

Hey girl, you know I love beautiful cards but my favorite are simple cards!

I really love simple cards, and especially if they are square. Love the square cards. :)

I like lots of layers and tend to add too much. My husband says by the time I throw it across the room, it's too late for his advice. LOL Love your blog. tfs

Jackie said...

I like cards that are not too "busy" but not necessarily simple ones. Hard to describe, but I just like anything that is pleasing to the eye and your cards are certainly that!

I have really enjoyed getting ideas from your blog. I tend to like very simple designs. One of my favorite of your recent cards was the bird card on the 27 July. Just last night I used that design for one of my cards. Thanks for sharing all your great ideas!

Linda SS said...

I LOVE your cards. They are exactly the style that I enjoy. Clean and uncluttered design with just the right amount of bling/embellishment to make them charming & interesting. Thanks for a chance at the extra-yummy blog candy!

I haven't really decided on a favorite card type yet. I like them all.
Congrats on another blogging milestone!

Anonymous said...

Wow, what generous blog candy! Congratulations on all those hits! I really enjoy coming here. I like cards with layering and embellishments, as long as it's not too overdone (as are most in today's crafty-stampy-scrappy magazines, IMO!)

Michelle L. said...

Congrats on the hits! I tend to lean toward the simple side myself, but I love looking at the details on some of the heavily embellished cards out there now.

Cat said...

Rose Ann - congrats on the BIG hits! And you are TOO generous to celebrate with us. Thanks!

I really, really enjoy the beautiful no-layer cards! I can't usually pull them off, but love to see other's creations.

Anonymous said...

I like the quick, simple to make designs. If they have some simple layers and quick embellishments, so much the better. I do like to see the new techniques, though. I'm pretty much pleased to just see the creativeness that goes into a card. Your cards are among the best. I can be reached at ceadmile00@msn.com.

Beth Thomas said...

Thank-you for the opportunity for this sweet candy! My favorite cards involve clean lines and beautifully colored images. Congrats on all your well deserved hits! Your blog is terrific! Take care!

Elaine said...

I love layers and embellishments and blog candy too! ;-) Thanks for the chance to win and congrats on your numbers!! :)

Alli Miles said...

Congratulations on all the hits! I know I have contributed to quite a few of them. I always love stopping by to see your fresh designs. My preference for cards depends on what the cards are for. An occasion like sympathy needs to be light and simple. A birthday card for the most part needs to be busy and layered! Generally, you would note that my cards are complex but I can't tell you enough how much of a breath of fresh air it is to create a simple card from time to time.
Thanks for this opportunity to win blog candy and congrats again.

NormaJ said...

Hi Rose Ann:
It depends on my mood as to whether
I go simple or with embellishments.
At the moment I seem to be creating in the simpler theme.
Great blog candy you have. Thank you for giving all of us the opportunity to win it.

Your cards are certainly beautiful! I like simple, uncluttered cards with great color combinations. I love embellishments as long as they fit the theme. There is a fine line between gorgeous & gawdy.

Jan Scholl said...

I love layers and lots of them. WIth several colors being used. I dont like just the card plain-as it usually needs some textures.

lois lane said...

Lots of layers and embellishments. The more the merrier!!

Susie said...

While I like both kinds of cards, I'm really more of a layer and embellishment person. There's so much on the market to use these days that it's fairly easy to pick something pretty.

Suzy said...

I love cards you just want to touch - full of textures and elements, yet not so layered that they look "thick".

Pat said...

While I admire both types of cards, lately I seem to be really drawn towards the simple, clean look on a card.

My favourite cards would be any with special or unique folds...anything a bit unusual. Then finished with clean, simple techniques and embellishments.

I love the look of clean simple cards...yet have a hard time achieving that look! So I guess I do like to layer and add embellishments....sometimes too much! Congrats on all your hits!

Anonymous said...

I love to make a scene ;) a scenic card that is.. :)
Thanks for the candy offer!

Kelly said...

Mostly clean, but one tiny thing that makes the design pop a little... a section that's embossed, or has some glitter, or has a button, or ribbon, or a few eyelets.

MerryMerlin said...

I love clean cards but when I see one with lots of embellishments that's effective, I think "I should do more of that." Key word is "effective"!

Anonymous said...

I like simple cards with clean lines only because that is what I tend to do. Haven't gotton brave enough to do one with layers and other embellisment for fear that it might be too much. I have seen some wonderfull cards like that, I guess I just need to get my feet we and take the plunge.

blduran said...

I love cards with lots of layers and embellishments because those are the cards I can never seem to get right! My cards seem to be clean and simple and I aspire to be great at the other! I do however, enjoy your simple cards. They are simple and beautiful.

Since I have a little girl, I'm into cutesy and of course girly designs. My style is clean and simple with just a tad of bling. I really LOVE your style!

Oh my goodness, what a generous giveaway!! My favourite types of cards are ones with LOTS of layers and embellies!! It's a real challenge for me to do a simple one layered card, although I do love them too....I just struggle making them myself!! Thanks for the opportunity to play!!

I love a card with lots of interest! I love paper piercing, faux stitching, scallops... anything that adds that extra something.

Hi Rose Ann, I wish I could see your card, but for some reason, it is 'hiding' and I can't seem to make it 'pop' open. But I love your blog and enjoy the creativity you share with us. I happen to love cards with lots of layers and embellishments, however I adore the simple, yet elegant cards also, and cannot seem to do them as well as others...so I guess, those are the cards I would love to receive best. Thanks for sharing your life. Barb g
