Dare To Get Dirty

Today's cards are for the Dare to Get Dirty challenges over at SCS for the fan clubbers. I don't know if I will get to all of them (four new ones daily), but be prepared to see some designs that you normally may not see otherwise...ha, ha. I'm having fun with this so far!

This little bird card is for two challenges. The layout is for Beate's challenge, and the flock is for Lauren's challenge. This card is actually 3½ x 3½ because the image was a bit small. I think I made it work fine anyhow.

This stamp set is the retired Such a Tweet set from SU. It was so cute, I just couldn't let it go yet, and decided to use it for this double challenge. I used my Essential Glue Pad to adhere the white flock to my little birdie. The designer paper is Memory Box from the Homespun collection and can be found at Ellen's store listed at the right. The "ribbon" is a thin strip of designer paper, and the flowers are punched with the Spring Bouquet and Three for You punches. The little "star" design on the sentiment strip is made using the tiny star from the Text Boxed set from PaperTrey Ink (listed at the right).

This dog card is for Anna's challenge of making a card for a pet, from a pet, or of a pet. I used another retired SU set called Bow Wow for this challenge. The card stock is True Thyme, Cranberry Crisp, Whisper White, Brushed Silver, and Treehouse DP. I colored the main images with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol (blending with stumps). I used my Tag Corner punch to create the big tag, and installed the Jumbo pewter eyelet with my Crop-A-Dile. The "dog tag" is created by stamping on Brushed Silver card stock, and punching out with the Key Tag Punch. The Cranberry Crisp stitched ribbon and silver cord are both retired from SU. I made some highlights with my Stardust glitter pen, and the heart has Crystal Effects on it.

This final card is for Sharon's (notimetostamp) challenge. She calls her challenge Easy Elegance, so I took it to heart . This was easy to make, and I think it's elegant. The base is Naturals Ivory, and the background stamp is Tres Chic on Bravo Burgundy. I highlighted the "Heartfelt Love" on the image by using my Stampin' Write marker, and stamping on a small piece of Naturals Ivory card stock. The corners are rounded with the new 3/16" corner rounder, and the ribbon is Very Vanilla Taffeta.

***The links for the specific challenges will only work for SCS club members.***

Thanks for visiting today!!

I love all three. I really like the legs on that bird and the color combo. I just like any card that uses orange!

Great colors on that first card. Love the cut out puffy bird too. And that doggy sitting in front of his house is just TOO CUTE! I want to give him a big hug.
