This is a card is for my nephew, who will be graduating this coming weekend. I decided to use Amy's sketch for this (thanks Amy). I don't know about you all...but I always find "guys' cards" very challenging. There was a funny thing that occurred when I was making this. I thought for sure that I had a graduation cap in my stamp collection somewhere. If I do...I sure couldn't find it. So the cap is drawn in. I focused on red, because that is one of Michael's school colors. I used Scarlet's Letter designer paper (6 x 6 pad) from BasicGrey for this card. The "notching" is made using the Spiral Punch from the SU Spring Mini.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope I can make something "pretty", later on today.

Love this! What a great graduation card! And way to go on drawing that cap in! It looks exactly like that SU stamp!
This card is awesome, and I am sure your nephew will love it! I find masculine cards, as well as sympathy cards difficult!
WOW! That's a hand drawn cap. You are good at drawing.
I love what you did with Amy's sketch! Great graduation card.
Very good masculine graduation card! I know he will really like it.
What a great card! I love it and it's very masculine. I have a couple graduation cards that I need to get done. I might have to CASE this one. Thanks for sharing.

I love this! I have the spiral punch from SU but I never use it - this is making me want to get it out tonight! I also have trouble with masculine cards, and this is perfect. And wow, great job on the cap, I wouldn't have guessed it wasn't a stamp!!
You drew the cap? Wow! You're good! Love the card, the paper, the design. Nice to see good old Lexicon of Love in use, too. You did a fabulous job on this!
Rose Ann, I liked your card so much I CASED it! I had a Dad come to me last night needing a graduation card and I couldn't find any in my stash. I'd seen Amy's sketch and really liked it but hadn't had time to make anything with it yet. I'll post it on my blog later and you can check it out.
