Icy Wild Rose

When I saw this paper from BasicGrey's Perhaps line, I thought of the Wild Rose set right away. I decided to make this 4 ½ x 4½ inch card. The big flower and leaves were embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder to add some shimmer. The BasicGrey pad can be found at Ellen's store, and the sentiment is from PaperTrey Faux Ribbon.

ETA: The Rock & Rolled edges of the rose do not look that bright IRL. I was going to try to re-take the picture, but decided to leave it as is.

I will be having some blog candy soon, as my counter just hit 10,000! Wow! Thanks for visiting and also for the sweet comments!

Stamps: Wild Rose, Faux Ribbon (Paper Trey Ink), Pollen Dust (Fancy Pants)
Card Stock: Old Olive, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, BasicGrey Perhaps (6 x 6)
Ink: Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose, Old Olive, More Mustard, So Saffron, Cranberry Crisp, VersaMark
Accessories: Word Window Punch, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and Heat Tool, Olive Organdy Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponges

Oh, this is completely gorgeous. I gave this set away because I couldn't do anything with it, now I'm having second thoughts.

Thank you for posting this card! I love how soft and pretty the rose looks. My brain has been stuck in the "roses are red" rut so this jumpstarts me thinking in pink! I love this card!!

So beautiful!! I love how you combined the edgy (to me) Basic Grey paper with a more "elegant" stamp set. I love both things but would have never thought to put them together. Hmmm...maybe pulling out some different things and combining later :) Thanks!
