Ice Cream & Pickles

This card is for my sister who lives in Kentucky, and expecting her third child. Unfortunately, we don't get to see each other as much as we would like, and I know she especially appreciates a little card once and a while. This adorable image is from Lockhart Stamp Co. and can be found at Ellen's awesome store. It is stamped on an Arturo Note card (Celadon) with Jet Black StazOn ink, and colored with SU re-inkers and my Aquapainter. I highlighted certain areas with my Stardust Gelly Roll pen, and used my Crystal Effects to make the dish and jar have a "glass" effect. The icecream is colored in with my Uniball Signo White Gel Pen. Finally, the rick rack is BasicGrey "Oh Baby". The picture is quite small, so you may want to click on it to see the special effects of the different applications I used.

Thank you for visiting today...and have a wonderful weekend!

ETA: I really love this image, and have a feeling it will be used for much more than baby cards. Just ink the different parts of the stamp you want to use with a Stampin' Write marker. I'm thinking of pairing the ice cream and the Lockhart Mini Cupcake for birthdays.

Oh...this is darling! I have to make one for my sister in law. She just found out she is pregnant. It's her first! We are all excited because Rebecca is the youngest in that family!
