Big Sable Point Lighthouse

This is an image of the lighthouse at our favorite camping spot in the state (Ludington State Park). The layout is from the SCS120 challenge. I just got the cool Diamond Plate Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms, and thought it would look cool with this lighthouse. I used my markers to ink up the image because I didn't want a black tree. I used my chalks for the light wash of the sky and sand. I wish the green of the tree would have been stamped off once, but inking the stamp with the markers was a bit difficult as it was (trying not to bleed the colors over).

Edited to add: I thought you might like to see the banner at the state of Michigan campground reservations site. You see the lighthouse right there. ;)

Stamps: Diamond Plate Backgrounder, Unknown manufacturer for the lighthouse
Card stock: Basic Black, Going Gray, Whisper White
Ink: Going Gray, Stampin' Write Markers: Basic Black, Old Olive
Accessories: Bigger Brads, Twill Tape, Stampin' Dimensionals

What a terrific card! I never use Going Gray (I think I have the original cardstock from my first purchase four years ago)! I love the splash of green for the tree. It provides the perfect accent.

What surprise to see Ludington in your blog! I grew up there and even though I live in NY now, I will always be a Michigan girl at heart! Actually my family is still there so I'll be visiting in May.
