Paperclip Bookmarks
These are paperclip bookmarks (clippies) I've been wanting to make ever since I first saw them. Beth Silaika has a wonderful tutorial at Splitcoaststampers for these.
I nominated myself to demonstrate "clippies" at my April demontrators' meeting, so I figured I'd better get going on it.
The jumbo-sized paper clips were purchased at Wal-Mart in the office supply area. I used my Big Shot with the Cuttlebug flower dies, and BISK (Weave #2) for adding texture to the plain card-stock. The chipboard I used was purchased from StarLitStudio, and the green/pink ribbon is a gift from Ellen (thanks, Ellen!).
I used Tombo Mono MULTI to adhere the cardstock and designer paper to the chipboard. To glue it altogether, I used the recommended E6000 on one, and SU's Crystal Effects on the other. The E6000 has a strong odor, and you need good ventilation when you use it...but it works great!! I tried the Crystal Effects to see if it would work for my demonstration, so that we didn't have to worry about proper ventilation. It works okay, but you need to let it set up a bit before you place the paper clip on the chipboard, and glue it altogether.
Supplies for the Pretty In Pink Clippie: Pretty In Pink card stock (SU), BasicGrey from the 'Blush' collection. All other supplies are SU: clear button, white organdy ribbon, rose grosgrain. A mini glue dot was used to adhere the clear button.
Supplies for the Green Galore Clippie: Green Galore card stock (SU), BasicGrey from the 'Pheobe' collection. Green Galore button with Karen Foster Scrapper's Floss, and 'Ellen Ribbon' ;)

I am so loving making these paper clippies too! I just wanted to tell you that I made one the other day with my hot glue gun and thought I would let you know that it works great and I can not pull them apart! and NO smell or fumes. and way more cheaper than the E6000 I bought and almost is gone. just thought I would let you know. have fun at your demo meeting!

Your clippies are so cute! I love them with the buttons. I know it would be fun to make these. I have one that Jami gave me and it's very useful. I just love when something extremely functional is also so darn cute!
These are adorable! I am especially loving the one with the button! I still can't find these darn clips though!
